A portable size, colorful easy to read ( not only the choice of words but the whole edition, size of letters...) book.
An up-to-date information about all the reason why to be vegan: environment, the animals, health... good for beginners and vegans who want to be up dated and have at hand a book when ever someone wants to know about veganism.
Authors show compassion and understanding of human kind choosing their words carefully, no judgment towards people who are not vegan.

Wow. How do I love this book let me count the ways. 1. Easy to read, very well informed, and fun 2. Inviting format as each chapter is about a page to two maybe three pages at most. 3. Like plant-based food this book is easily digestible 4. Reason number 30 says “… Think of this journey like a sport you’re learning. Get better at it all the time and have fun on the way!” Yes! 5. I absolutely love some of the connections made like with animal poop and our ground water. 6. Having worked on a small dairy farm during some summers in college when I was debating between vegan or vegetarian, I I am especially grateful to chapter 43 and Jennifer Barrett, the former chicken farmer. I Believed in small local family farms and yet saw the amount of debilitating health problems for the farmers up close. I’ve learned so much firsthand and I’m so grateful for this chapter! . I’ve now decided I really want to adopt/support animals at farm sanctuaries as presents for my family and friends. So much meaningful as a gift - and of course sending them this book too! I have bought five already and I’m sure I will get a dozen more. It would be neat if they would sell it as a package for 10 or 12. They also make great stocking stuffers
Whether it is health that initially drives you to a fully plant-based diet or your love of animals or your concern about the environment or a combination of all of it, this book helps give you the tools to answer your questions and those of your friends or family around you. If you are new on this journey or have been on a long time - you will find this book very useful. If you have a friend or family member who is plant-based or completely vegan, pick up this book it’s easy - it’s a way of saying that you care about your friend. You will learn so much.
The book is written with kindness for its reader. It does not feel like it’s proselytizing. I am so grateful to Kathy and Gene for taking the time to give birth to this very important book.
In gratitude

What a great book to have in your tool box as a new or long time vegan, and even for the non-vegan but curious!
I have personally leaned in to veganism over the past few years, and am slowly getting my fiance in on the not so little secret, so it's really exciting to have this informative and humorous book on hand! Learning about all the science behind why switching to a plant based diet is not just better for our bodies, but our environment, is such a no brainer to me. I will be gifting these to some of my curious friends! Must read!
