PROS:
-inexpensive
-small (about the size of a deck of cards, only slimmer)
-easy to switch between sources. Can tell at a glance which source you are using (blue or green LED)
-about a 2-3 second delay between switching and response on the screen (a good part of this is likely the syncing/negotiation of the HDMI signal. The delay is about the same as my old KVM.
- USB powered (no wall wart required)
CONS.
-Lightweight plastic enclosure. Forget about having it at the edge of a table or similar... the weight of the cables will tilt it.
-USB powered. limits what you can plug in to the 2 USB inputs. No power-hungry keyboards or external drives unless your PC's USB port delivers lots of power.
-HDMI output is on the front, so the output cable gets in the way of a "cleaner" installation.
-USB hubs are a little flimsy... connection to the computers are looser than I would like (but I haven't lost connection yet).
-Included cables are short (about 3ft/0.9m).
Once I connected the USBs I was able to connect my keyboard and mouse to the switch and everything work perfectly.
Koodo to this item.
I agree that it would look much cleaner if the wires were ALL on the back (or the side), but it can be cleaned up a bit. Just buy an angled HDMI and USB cable(s) for the 3 plugs on the front. This reduces how much the wires stick out on the front.

I also used this device as a peripheral Hub for my laptop, where it also works as expected!
But lets focus on DeX, because that is what i used it for:
It connects almost instantly and peripherals such as a mouse and keyboard allow you to use DeX as a computer, with Microsoft word, excel and other apps like onedrive working as expected.
I did, however, run into one issue - Charging.
The hub has a power delivery port, where if you attach a charger, your phone will appear as "Charging" this is handy as Samsung DeX with a lot of apps open really drains your battery down, and quick. The charging on my Device firstly did not work, for some unknown reason, I tried it with 4 different chargers and none would charge though that specific port, so I returned it, Ablewe got in contact and suspected it was a defect, and promptly replaced it free of charge, so 5/5 for customer service, the second device (Which I now have) does charge my phone, but very slowly, so the battery will still drain while using DeX but its better than it not charging at all.
If Ablewe can sort the power delivery out it will be 5/5, but otherwise, I recommend using a wireless charger while using the Hub to charge your battery while using the hub!
Hope this review helped someone, feel free to ask any more questions and I'll do my best to answer them!

On Monday I decided to send it back to Amazon, but being determined I thought I would try the setup once more. I did and it WORKED, most times. The switch over period is longer than I was used to with my VGA switch but it is acceptable. Over the week the switch has got better, rarely does it fail. It is as if it is learning!
However, when you switch on, set the button to the computer you are starting with. It will not always recognise the PC if you do not, and you have to restart the machine. Then switch to the second and start that one.
The seller followed up with a pleasant email about service and support after purchase and I informed him of the errors in the written instructions. The instructions state that no cables are supplied, but indeed they are.
Overall, now it works properly about 99% of the time, I am content to live with it. I also could not find anything else on Amazon within the same price range with better reviews. So if you are prepared to put up with its idiosyncrasies to begin with, and knowing that there is support at hand, at the price it is as good a purchase as you are likely to get.

This HDMI switch works perfectly with no perceivable drop in quality, and allows wireless keyboard/mouse to be used. I had some display issues with my old monitor from 2008 (It did not like PC HDMI) but it has been fine with a new 1080p Asus.
As my new monitor only has 1 HDMI, I have switched the monitor input cable from the Switch to monitor to an HDMI-to-DVI cable, as I did not need sound from the laptops to the monitor (they recognise that there is no speaker, so output over their own), this has allowed me to have an Xbox connected too.

I have 2 Linux computers, and 1 monitor, I only have Display ports out on the 2 computers, monitor has no Display ports.
So the answer was get one of these KVM switches, no other HDMI switches worked for me, they didn't have enough power to switch the 2 computers even with 5v mains!
So I got 2x DP male to HDMI female adaptors, around £6 each, and connected it up and prayed, it worked straight away with a good blue light on the select button for 1 computer, and a green light for the second computer. Due to the fact that the item comes with 2x USB cables, this gave the power to switch the computers.
The only thing that was not good is that the item arrived in it's display box with the usual sticky Address label firmly fixed, good job I didn't need to send it back for a refund! Also on the back of the box was another part sticky Address label showing some Reverend's name in Newton Abbot! To be fair the contents showed no sign of being used though.
So a brilliant simple item that actually works, all connected in under 5 mins, you cannot go wrong if you have similar set up to mine, it will of course do the same thing on other O/S

I must say tho - The device does say KEYBOARD and MOUSE, not really HUB, so you could say I didn't follow instructions, but there was no reason for me to believe it wouldn't handle a hub.
UPDATE: I finished it out of the trash for another try as I didn't want to give up. After many more attempts it started to work and it works flawlessly now. Idk why it didn't work before. My head hurts and I'm tired but it I setup everything and it works great. This time I didn't wire my powered hub to it, as I assumed it may have damaged it.
