The oil sensor is 3 times the price at the GM dealership. The one I bought on Amazon (as well as the required deep socket are perfect. The job took me about an hour. I was quoted over $600 from the local Chevrolet dealership so I did it myself. Everything works perfectly.

part has be redesigned it seems since the 2008 release, this is not what came off my 2008 avalanche, and the connector fits loosely. That being said, the part works fine and has been going strong for a few weeks now. After install, give the system a few minutes at idle to register the new sensor.

Used this to replace faulty unit in 2000 C5 Corvette, this unit lasted 45 miles!!! and the oil pressure gauge is reading 80 and oil leaking from the sender. Please do not under any circumstances purchase this as a replacement. Buy the BWD S4202 it's much higher quality. You can thank me later. ;-)

I installed this on my 2008 Silverado with an iron block (no AFM) 6.0. The check engine light was illuminated on my truck, and the code showed for oil pressure sensor performance low, which the gauge in the instrument panel showed. I took my mechanical gauge (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000R5G0DO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) with adapter (https://www.amazon.com/OTC-Tools-7219-Pressure-Adapter/dp/B01A8Q4H4A/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1547398413&sr=1-1&keywords=otc+7219) and checked the pressure at the oil filter. The gauge confirmed there was oil pressure well within spec, so I went ahead and ordered this switch and replaced it. Total job took roughly 2 hours from driving it into my shop to driving out. I did not have to remove the intake, and now the gauge in the dash reads accurate compared to the pressure at the oil filter.

Just do yourself a favor and order this Lisle socket. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002SR2RY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) It will make the job easier with a greatly reduced chance of damaging your sensor. This socket with a 6 inch extension and ratchet worked perfectly.

Not a solid part as Usually Delco makes here in usa.
Looks very poor quality,.
Material as material, Duralast from Autozone makes much solid and stronger quality.
I don't know how long will last.
And the gauge accuracy, shown less pressure, same problem that i have with Duralast Auto zone one,
The first one GM part, that came with car from the factory, that one was showing pressure on gauge cluster almost a 20 psi more then the Duralast one, that's why i decide to buy again Delco one,
But believe me, this Delco one from Mexico made, same accuracy as the Duralast one.:(
So while U driving, time to time u looks at gauge, u feel A bit sad, it's like your Car have poor oil pressure.
It is what it is,
Made in Mexico :(
I think so best way is, going to the Junk Yard, and try to find good one from not to old collision vehicles.
That's the only way to find again OEM GM parts,
So sad, no more made in USA

Oil pressure sensor

Works in my 2006 Sierra Denali 6.0L. This is my 2nd one for my truck. The original went out about 60K miles. Showed no oil pressure. Then got AC Delco replacement off Amazon. That one lasted until 150k miles. Now got this AC Delco one. This time oil pressure was pegged on 80 as soon as turn the key with or without engine running. Now back to correct pressure. This one is from Mexico, has GM numbers printed on the part and bag. Appears just like my other one. Hopefully get 50K or so out of this one. The only problem, its a pain in the A$$ to change. I have now done it twice, takes about 30 minutes and done by feel only, can't see what your doing. It's way back on the back of the intake against the firewall. You have to lay on top of the motor, thankfully plywood board I have is right size and handy. I also have the deep well socket from Amazon that fits the sensor perfectly.
