if Book 67 felt like it was stretched, this one is even more stretched. Normally, I love this series. It's fast-paced with lots of everything I like. This book got bogged down on wordiness --- it felt like I was reading the same thing over and over. I was really skipping pages this time to move the plot along.
Again I found some editing errors: extra words, sentences not making sense. Nothing you can't "fix" as you read, but clearly, you need to edit the book more thoroughly.
Since its the same plot, I can see where the story is going -- also not great. This shouldn't happen. I hope the next book wraps up this arc.
Always in love with this series ..each time can't get enough.. I could read these stories forever and with how big the clan is..might get what I wish for!! Its absolutely captivating, addictive and steamy! These immortals, Gods and Kra-ells are more and more mysterious but things are looking good ..well mostly!!! Igor is still on the loose though so more to come Im sure with these new enemies.. Plus Jade is looking for vengeance and wants his head.. Can't wait to read whats next Will Phinas tame the famous vicious Jade!? Or are the two just scratching an itch?? Have to wait and see Enjoy everyone
Phinas and Jade are interesting characters to watch develop. After reading every book, I am still enjoying each one and very anxious for and very much looking forward to the next in series! I.T. Lucas has not disappointed! Keep 'em coming!
I can’t say enough about this series! I’m so caught up in the story that I can hardly wait for the next book to come out. The plot twists are amazing, the characters are genuine and diverse. It well worth the read!
Dark Alliance / Kindred Souls (The Children of the Gods Paranormal Romance Book 68) By: I. T. Lucas I’ve been waiting a long time for Jade to get her reprieve. She might be made of titanium and diamonds, but for crying out loud – give a girl a break! She’s made of the good stuff, but she hasn’t been appraised and valued for her absolute worth.
Thank. The. Fates.
If he doesn’t make the perfect velvety background to her diamond-shine, I don’t know who would.
With the assistance of Kian’s Clan and Kalugal’s Men, these Kindred Souls help lead an exodus away from Igor’s compound and, hopefully, out of reach of his enslaving compulsion. Will the Fates part the waters to let these people go?
Not yacht, but maybe schooner than later.
I like that the author includes a lot of details, whether it’s how a ship can sustain the comfort of over 400 passengers or the steps it takes to strategize precautions against impending doom, because I have an analytical brain that cares. I like the tastefully done and genteelly worded intimate bits, the slow burns and the sauna steam. I'm looking forward to reading about Phinas kicking butt alongside Jade in the future. I think she needs that to complete their bonding.
IT Lucas’s main characters are always likable, her world is 100% livable (just don’t get captured by the Brotherhood or Igor), and the drama is delightful. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to see this unfold on film.

Omg im actually loving Jades story i cannot wait for the next volume which happily is just a few days away If u havent read the series start now its amazing i binge read every one and we get a new one every month which is just epic!
Ms Lucas is an addictive read that feeds you just the right amount of anticipation to keep you waiting for your next month’s episode of the clan and what the fates have in store for the gods and their descendants of the gods. Love it
I honestly don't know how Isabell does it. Her characters are still as strong and interesting and consistent as they have been from the first book. How she ties in characters and makes the life journey of these people seem more real than just written words on paper. I've loved each and every book and look forward to every new release. I've loved getting to know Jades character and that of Phinas. Jade is not at all how I thought she'd be and I can't wait to read her story.
