Review

"Alone With You in the Ether plays with narrative structure and linear time to weave a story of two broken people crashing together like comets, and we, as audience, are witness to their glorious destruction." ― Tor.com

“This is a book to savor.” ― Publishers Weekly

Praise for
The Atlas Six:

“If you’re looking for a book you will want to talk about for a long time (and have plenty of people to talk to about it),
The Atlas Six is it.” ― Buzzfeed

“Blake introduces six of the most devious, talented, and flawed characters to ever find themselves in a magical library, and then sets them against one another in a series of stunning betrayals and reversals.” ― Holly Black,
New York Times bestselling author of The Book of Night

“Lethally smart. Filled with a cast of brilliantly realized characters, each entangled with one another in torturously delicious ways, The Atlas Six will grip you by the throat and refuse to let go. Olivie Blake is a mind-blowing talent.” ― Chloe Gong, author of
New York Times bestselling These Violent Delights

“Compelling, entertaining, and addictive.” ― T. L. Huchu, author of
The Library of The Dead

“This chilling story of ambition and magic will make you question your own morals as you grow to love (and hate) its fascinating, ruthless cast of characters. I utterly devoured this book.” ― Amanda Foody, New York Times bestselling author of All of Us Villains

Olivie Blake is the pseudonym of Alexene Farol Follmuth, a lover and writer of stories, many of which involve the fantastic, the paranormal, or the supernatural, but not always. More often, her works revolve around what it means to be human (or not), and the endlessly interesting complexities of life and love.

Olivie has penned several indie SFF projects, including the webtoon Clara and the Devil with illustrator Little Chmura and the viral Atlas series. As Follmuth, her young adult rom-com My Mechanical Romance releases May 2022.

Olivie lives in Los Angeles with her husband and baby, where she is generally tolerated by her rescue pit bull. More on Olivie can be found at www.olivieblake.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved the story, disappointed with the physical book!
By Stephanie M. on February 13, 2022
Absolutely LOVED this book. I couldn’t put this down!

The writing style was immaculate. It was poetic yet realistic. The dialogue was so sharp and the characters just seemed so real. I loved how the POV would change in a subtle way so that you always felt like you had the most intimate read on a character. It was truly brilliant. I loved every word!

However… I am quite disappointed with the physical book itself. The writing on the front cover’s title and the back cover’s book description is blurry and seems to be low quality. The design on the book’s spine seems to be misprinted… one side of the spine is empty and the other side bleeds onto the cover.

Despite that, the story was great and I’m still happy to have a physical copy of it. I just wish the printing & binding of the book was a bit better quality!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely book!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 19, 2022
Lovely book. Beautifully written story (and i’m assuming self published maybe ?), so all the more respect to Blake. However I’m such a nitpicker and it’s bugging me while reading that i’m so painfully aware the text is printed wonky on the right side page at the start of the book (page 7). I was thinking of rating a star lower because of this but honestly it really isn’t such a big deal and doesn’t detract from the book. Just thought it would be useful people to know so buyers can avoid the surprise if theirs comes the same way. Also i’m not the biggest fan of the spine design and really wish that it was blank, without the little shapes because it really doesn’t fit with the beautiful simplicity of the cover, which is so elegant looking, as opposed to the spine which just makes it look like just another YA book on my bookshelf. But apart from that it’s a lovely book and wld 100% recommend.
