5.0 out of 5 stars What the witchy community needs
Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on May 8, 2022
Juliet Diaz has a way with words. Has a way of making you feel, look inside yourself and make changes for the better. The Altar Within is a beautiful book that is needed. As a white woman, I try hard to learn and watch where my practice comes from. I do not want to step on or butcher practices from those before me or on indigenous people's sacred practices. This book is eye opening and empowering. It is a must if you are into witchcraft in anyway shape or form.

This is not just a book, this is a companion that holds us as we go through the only transformation that really matters: finding our true self.

What the real magic is is that as we move into the journey we find that it is ourself, whose support we find as we awaken to our Divine Self.

Juliet is - like a real spiritual sister - straight talking, brutally honest and kind as she shares her own journey and provides us with guidance on ours.

One of the very impactful parts is when we learn how colonization has impacted us and our self perception. It can be very painful but also liberating to look at ourselves through the lens that we obscure ourselves deliberately or unconsciously.

As a nonbinary person I found safety and empowerment in Juliet’s words, and although we never met personally I know we’re connected now.
