I bought this 6Ft extension cable for my Windows mixed reality headset and it worked like a charm. It will sometimes read "error, check your cables" when I launch WRP but after clicking the "try again" button the error gose away and the headset works as if everything were stock. I heard a rumor that the 10Ft version of this cable is also compatible with WMR if you need a something longer.

Not for Oculus Rift.

Was unable to properly extend my Oculus Rift HDMI hookup to my GTX 980. There was artifacting around the edges of the display and intermittent cut outs. I returned this item. May be fine for simply extending a DVD player or something but that was not why I bought it.

Fantastic piece and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Our Chromecast doesn't work when it is attached to the our TV in the upstairs loft balcony because the concrete floor interferes with the WiFi signal. We used this to stretch the HDMI cord to the edge of the balcony and the signal is perfect.

Good quality material and would recommend!

One port doesnt work

While I think the hub is pretty good , I have one port that doesn't work it keeps going on and off . After a while the picture gets fuzzy and it shuts down and comes back up after a few seconds. This only occurs on one of the ports the others seem to work fine. Unfortunately I need all 5 of the ports to be functional . Other the port automatically connects to the newest open system so the remote isn't really needed if you aren't switching back and forth between systems.

The job of this extension cable is to extend the HDMI cable by an extra 6ft. In most scenarios, anything plugged into the cable will work without issue. If you ware buying this product for VR however, be careful, it may not work. When using this with my VRtek headset, it worked without issues. However, it did not work with my WMR headset and others have reported it not working with their Oculus Rift. If you are in need of an extension, please keep in mind that it may not work. Other than the use of VR, it works as necessary.

This is the Best Thick HDMI Cable I've ever bought in my life. It is literally as thick as my fingers, haha. I am very impressed by the Quality & I've bought expensive cables before, from Bestbuy, Futureshop, The Source & Staples Office Supplies for $40 - $60. And they didn't last very long. Because I'm disabled, so when I'd unplug things In & Out of Game Systems & into my PC's the Cable heads would get bent & then they would break after I bent them back Haha. But this Company Amazon Basics, they definitely know how to to make stuff to last. I'll Praise them forever, I have just bought another 15' Cable Male-Male to extend the last 1 I just got.

Used this for a stick computer plugged into the back of a large TV. Only problem, when behind the TV the stick would lose its WiFi connection. This cable allowed the stick computer to be moved just above the TV and regain its WiFi, so all is well.
