I got this cable because the price was really good, and it has ethernet capability. The cable doesn't disappoint and transmits the audio signal to my soundbar flawlessly. I also tested this with a 4k player, and the video looked great as well. The only small thing I will say is that the cable is a bit thinner than other cables I have bought and not sure how it will hold up in the long run, but for now its working really well.

I bought this as a 10 Foot HDMI cable to reach a TV from my laptop. The cable likely works great for 4K and conforms to CL3, but the cable itself is not as thick or sturdy by a long shot as the AmazonBasics 15 foot or 25 foot HDMI cables I've purchased in the past. I decided to go with the thicker gauge and returned the 4K / CL3 10 Foot cable.

These are good 4k cables for a fraction of the price thanks to Amazon basics. Build quality is really good for how much I paid, excellent value. If you buy expensive electronics and then use cheap hdmi cables that don’t meet the specs, you are wasting your money. These are not a Ultra High Speed Cable.

Bought 2 of these cables a few months back when I was building my home theater system and decided to make a false wall behind my projector wall to hide my receiver & pre amp behind it. ran the two cables from the projector for video and one for sound and called it a day as I had other HDMI cables that were already in place. I was having some issues recently with the other HDMI cables so I just decided to order 5 more 2 in 35 foot lengths and the other 3 just at a regular length & I can tell you these cables have stood up to the test! these cables can carry 4K 60 with ease & produce sounds out of my speakers I have never heard before!. So with all this being said all you home theater guys with long runs look no further!

This is my fourth Amazon basics 3 metre hdmi cable, the prior ones were intended for 1080 HD applications and worked fine. This new one was to link 4k player to av receiver. It couldn't do 4k 60hz. It took me a while to work out it was the problem but switching it for one of the older Amazon basics cables solved the problem. Therefore there must be a quality control issue. In the old days for analogue connections cables were so important to get right but we have been lead to believe one HDMI cable is the same as the other. This is quite clearly not the case evenifthey are labelled high speed. I will now be shopping around for HDMI cables going forward.

UPDATE

Although an older amazon basic cable worked for a bit it developed to not working all the time. I took the plunge and bought a 3 metre QED cable that was about £40 and it worked instantly and I've never had any of the problems I have with cheaper amazon cables perhaps more suited to 1080HD applications.

This cable is quite industrial in size, possibly I did not read the description fully, but I was just choosing a cable in a whole load of HDMI cables.

There is nothing wrong with them, although the plugs and the cable weight on them feel like they could be an issue. They do what they are supposed to do - transmit an HDMI signal over the length of the cable - without issue.

But they are industrial!

Weight is 760g, whereas there is a braided cable by Amazon, same length, 322g if you just want HDMI across the living room...

I bought a few 5m HDMI cables and a lot of them didn't work (picture cut out every few minutes etc.)
This is the only cable which works flawlessly. It also happens to be the cheapest. There's another one which is braided but it couldn't hold a 4k 60p signal for more than a few minutes without flickering. This cable is flawless. I was beginning to think 5m HDMI cables were just not fit for purpose. This changed my mind. The cable is very thick but that's a good thing. No concerns about interference. Will buy this again for all future AV requirements

Bought two of these for connecting both Sky a Blu Ray player to my TV. Picture quality on both really poor. Caused images to be grainy and pixelated on both. Especially the BD player. Replace both with Blue Rigger versions and the quality was top notch. I've always been a fan of Amazon Basic cables having bought several RCA ones and a coaxial, but these are below par and should be avoided. Get the Blue Rigger ones instead.
