Works correctly for USB 3.1Gen2 devices

I tested the AmazonBasics USB Type-C to USB-A male 3.1 Gen2 cable (3 feet) on a Samsung T5 USB 3.1 Gen2 drive to various computers. The transfer speeds showed the capabilities of the Samsung T5 properly. It does make a difference when using "unknown" "generic" or "USB 3.0 5Gbps" cables makes things slower if you have 10Gbps capable drives. To make the product better Amazon should offer other colours. It is hard enough to find things other than black so white was great to have as a purchase item but please add other colours like blue, red, yellow, green, etc :-) Other manufacturers I trust because of proven products for cables include Tripp Lite.

Debatable/Meh performance, solidly built

although it’s a solid cable, it doesn’t really charge as fast as I expected. I usually don’t like/buy thicker cables because I’m not so concerned with durability, I prioritize cable flexibility. Based on all the great reviews I got this thicker cable for its fast charging - and ended up losing out on both speed and flexibility. I missed the window to return. Now looking for another...

Great USB3 cables for data transfer

I liked this cable so much that I ordered a second one after trying out the first!

It's a USB-A to Type-C cable, and it plugs in and does the job. Full SuperSpeed USB3 transfer rates. Backing up my OnePlus 9 Pro phone now takes a lot less time than with the supplied (USB2) cable.

Very durable. If you want thick, ridged cables that won't break these are for you. However; don't expect tight bend radius like the oem cable that you roll up small and tight....this cable is 5mm thick, it will roll up but not as tight like a regular cable. i.e might be a problem if you use it in you car and want to role is up a stuff it in a compartment in the console area (not happening). Buy a short 1ft braided cable for that.

I haven't had much time to really put them through the wringer-but the cables work well and they feel like a quality build. They are heavier and not too flexible, so ideally for the purpose of connecting an external storage device to a computer at the fastest speed they support.

I have tried many cables before even the original one from Samsung to connect my phone (Note 9) to my car's Android auto but all of them failed after a few usages they start to disconnect. This one is the only one that worked perfectly for me I have been using it for 7 months now and it is very good.

Solid cables. Could be better, but not much. Works flawlessly with my GP2XL using android auto on my Sony head unit, and the connectors fit very snug like the oem cables do.
Can't say on speed transfer.
The cables are impressively solid and stiff, but they won't stack up to a proper braided cable.
All in all, you can't go wrong for the price. Koodos amazon.
