Im actually gutted to be flying through this series, while at the same time unable to put it down. But seriously you went there with Dutch? :( characters we care about, err thats a mistake. Yes it should be a total boys book. Beautiful women. Check. Tough as nails men. Check. Guns weapons massive explosions. Check. But its truly not. The author clearly has a fantastic respect for women and in the book they are clever and every bit as bad ass as the men. Loyalty and honour run deeply through the books, and make you believe in humanity. Its just good old fashioned fun. Good vrs evil. Please keep them coming. And dont touch dog!! No seriously DONT TOUCH DOG :)

I keep repeating myself, but great books. Read from the start of the series. Twists and turns, that make me hold my breath without realising it. Totally addicted to Dirk Patton books. I can't recommend highly enough.
I don't want to give the plot away, the only thing I can say is read the series.
