This is a book about drawing faces for kids. It is a beginner's guide with brief instructions that are broken down into manageable chunks.
By using this book to assist their drawing, your child will develop better hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. It will also encourage visual analysis, bolsters confidence and helps your child with problem-solving skills.
Although the book is intended for kids aged 8 to 12, I believe kids as young as five might use it to learn. While it will be enjoyable and allow you to study drawing at your own pace, this is not a replacement for art class.

This isn't a substitute for a serious art course, but if you want to learn to draw faces in a cartoon style, or even to make your doodles more exciting, you'll enjoy doing the projects in this book. There's only a small written portion, so I think it could be enjoyed by kids who want to make their drawings more expressive.

This book really doesn't instruct on how to draw Manga and Anime styled faces as it shows the drawing stages. It gives zero instruction or discussion on the foundations of this artistic style. So much more could have been done! As an artist, it was just a fantastic disappointment since I had high hopes for this book!
