4.0 out of 5 starsThe good, the bad, and the ugly.
Reviewed in Canada on August 10, 2019
Bought this trailer just a week ago. First off, the ad says it has a capacity of 180 lbs. Don't believe that. If you go to the dealer's website, it says 88 lbs. which is more in line with other bike trailers. Price is decent though. Shipping was fast. It arrived 2 days before the earliest quoted delivery date.
The trailer is mostly assembled inside the box, you just have to put the wheels on the axles and insert the axles into the trailer. Unfortunately, everything is loose inside the box rattling around. Mine has several scratches and small dents but that doesn't really affect the usage of the product. It was also missing the cover (which may have prevented everything from touching ... or not) The dealer responded within 24 hrs and say they are sending one ASAP.
Assembly instructions are horrible. Just some really bad pictures. The assembly itself was not too bad though. Fairly simple for anyone with some mechanical skills. The snap ring pliers they include is a really poor quality one time use tool but they work. *Note to others* Don't try to put the snap ring into the groove. Just get it around the axle and push it into the groove with a flat screwdriver. This may also solve some of the issues other reviewers had with getting all the washers in. The hitch and tongue looked like it might interfere with the kickstand but didn't after all.
Just took it for it's first test (sans cover). $131 worth of groceries from Costco (including a flat of 30 eggs that all arrived intact). As others mentioned, it bounces and rattles when empty. Not much can be done about that other than to weld or bolt a stiffener to the steel floor. It's the same sound effect they use for thunder in sound effect studios, shaking a thin sheet of steel. Lots of room inside the bag. A couple of bungees across the top secured everything for me. Getting started took some significant effort, but once rolling it was fine. Just make sure your brakes are good. Handled well behind the bike, though I did notice that the wheels are not very true or balanced. If you don't already have one, consider getting a spoke wrench and spending a little time tweaking them.
Overall, I would recommend it, but know what you're getting yourself in for. It is a cheap made in China product, but it looks like it will do the job and is 1/3 to 1/4 the price of a high quality trailer from a reputable bike or outdoor shop.

Used only a few times and not abused and 5 spot welds securing the base to the frame have let go. Nothing preventing the soft sides from contacting the tire if the load shifts so I now have a hole in the fabric, needs an extra bar on each side to prevent this from happening. Base rattles very loud, could have been prevented if a bead was rolled into it. Attaching something to the underside of the base helped to quiet the noise some to make it bearable. Tires are not low rolling resistant as stated. At half load there is a lot of resistance even at maximum PSI making it hard to pedal. With tires at minimum PSI when empty the trailer bounces all over and even a little bit with a load on. This bouncing is transmitted into the bike and makes for an unpleasant ride. New tires (Continental Ride tour) greatly improved theses issues and are almost non existent. All nuts and bolts were only finger tight and have to be tightened before first use. Not worth the money they want for it. Get something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great buy!

The plastic corner piece was damaged from transit, however, the merchant was happy to send me the replacement parts ASAP. This trailer is AWESOME! Larger that I expected (Imagine a rubbermaid tote could fit right in it.) Snow, ice, grass, gravel, asphalt, copncrete, up/down hills, on my pedal or my e- bike - very minimal drag. Super sturdy design - I have loaded it up to beyond capacity (200 lbs ish) many times, no prob. Best buy for your money. The Type 'A' hitch included is not at a good angle (arm puts a detrimental torque on hitch), but is replaceable with standard parts. Velcro is not good quality, but I will be sewing my own custom canvas cover soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great kart with 1-2 issues
Reviewed in Canada on August 31, 2019
Color Name: Yellow and BlackVerified Purchase
This Kart was our central tool for a recent adventure I had with my girlfriend this holiday. We cycled close to 400km to an national park and back.
It was reliable at that and kept up really well even tho it was heavily charged with all our camping equipment and personnel belongings. I definitely felt that I was carrying a good charge and naturally it is considerably more effort but the kart does a good job, feels secure and rolls along great.

Two items on this kart however lack quality.
For one the cover and the textile tarp that lays out the kart and it’s Velcro’s should be of better quality. After only one trip, as demanding it was, shows already wear and tear. For the life expectancy of the kart this doesn’t announce well.

Also the tires on this thing are really cheap and our got blasted during the trip with a 2 cm hole. Luckily they are standard size and easily replaced, however that’s another 50$ gone (Canadian tire). For the one tire, the second one won’t hold up long!! Take one with you spare if you are planning on a long trip.

The tire has an easy, albeit expansive solution, the tarp not so much and I don’t know what I will do when it’s completely worn out... probably ask someone to stitch it...

Otherwise I don’t regret my purchase. I didn’t pay premium for this kart and so shouldn’t expect premium either.
However, if the manufacturer would upgrade these items, it would be a full out premium product for a small price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little trailer
Reviewed in Canada on August 20, 2019

I have this trailer to pull behind my E- Trike. Really nothing to complain about. The sheet metal floor vibrates on rough terrain, so I drilled 4 holes in the floor and attached zip ties around the axel. Some reviews say that the cover doesn’t stay on, but the manufacturer must have addressed this problem and there is no way it will now blow off. I take the trailer to my village supermarket with a large cooler inside and can do a full shop and have room to spare. If you had a dog on a very short leash it could ride along with you...or maybe your dog is well behaved and would just sit in it. Oh! And the tires now come installed on the wheel rims so the twisting memory doesn’t exist any more.

I love it, the assembly of the wheels was laborious but in the end it works great.
I hook it behind my trakker mobility helper barely drag the batteries down. Then I heve the autonomy to go groceries shopping.
Everywhere I go people ask me how did I get it.

4.0 out of 5 stars good value, has flaws but durable and cheap

This thing will make a lot of noise when empty if you're going over bumps because the base is aluminum.

Its attachment is also not the best in design and this thing already snapped off my kickstand.

Can't complain though, it makes doing urban groceries and large purchases a breeze and I think it'll last. So far so good. The only issue is storing it, it's kind of ugly to just leave outside and the cover isn't waterproof so you'll need a tarp or some other kind of hide-away.

My GF put this together fairly easily, but as others have said, the instructions are poor and it rattles when empty. Might try some foam between the axle and base of the storage box as I believe it is the box vibrating against the axle when empty. The noise goes away when there is a load in the box as others have mentioned. Other than that, works great

This trailer is a structurally good design. It runs smoothly with my bike and the space is good for its purpose; I use it mostly for grocery. The bad part is the packaging and the instructions. The whole thing sits in the box like the beads in a maracas - shaky shake shake! It's no wonder the corners are busted. The plastic caps that close the end of the metal tube are broken. I took them off and somehow pounded the tubes back to more like a round shape and put rubber chair leg caps on them to prevent injury from the sharp metal. I agree with most reviewers that the cover is a joke. The sewn on elastic on the four corners of the cover is not going to keep it on. I sewed additional fasteners to keep it on. The supplied tool for the wheel assembly is also a joke because it does not fit the washers that it is intended to use for assembling; I had to use other tools from my own toolbox. Three pieces of advice for the manufacturer: 1. improve the packaging - use common sense. 2. Make the cover attachable, at least on one side so that it won't just fly away when the wind blows. 3. Clarify the instructions and supply a tool that is actually usable. The adapter of the trailer to the bike on my package is also missing. I contacted Amazon.ca and they promptly delivered it. This part, the service it good. Happy biking : )

4.0 out of 5 stars Cargo Trailer
Reviewed in Canada on August 3, 2012

I bought this cargo trailer to pair with a escooter. I wanted to use it to go grocery shopping (only shop for sales item because I am on a pension I go to several different stores chasing sale items that I need)and to carry several packages that I could not put in my backpack. I have used the trailer several times and the escooter pulls it with no problem. I had it loaded with over 60lbs of groceries and travelled several miles with it. I went to five different stores and all of the groceries fit with no problems. I really love this trailer. The only problem wrong with it is that the trailer cover does not fit very well when the trailer is full of stuff. I had to use some bungee cords to keep in snug on the trailer but other than that the trailer was cost effective and doing the job that I want it to do. It only took two days to receive the package it was very quick.
