4.0 out of 5 starssturdy!

after researching for the most reliable (affordable) bike rack, I chose this one. All the other brands (Thule included) had reports of it breaking apart and letting the bikes fall down in the middle of the road.
This rack is sturdy, doesn't wobble and does it's job. It may not fit 4 big bikes, but for my familiy it's perfect!
Would give 5 stars if it came with more straps. but good deal anyways

Haven’t actually used it yet but impressed by the weight/quality. That said it is heavy to manipulate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice rack

Nice and sturdy. It bolts onto the hitch, which may be less convenient than a quick release system, but also means there is nothing that can break.

Worth its price. Very easy installation. I didn't even have to study the installation manual before I started..Works with 1 1/4 and 2" hitches
Please make sure you tighten bolts all the way through the hitch and rack frame. The rack is very sturdy. No sway when carrying bikes. Easy to tilt away from the vehicle when accessing the trunk..

Great product. Used it several times. I wish it came with a more robust elbow which attaches to the hitch. Looks dainty!

Update: January 2021
We’ve used it a lot and the only issue is that the bikes rub a little. So putting some padding where the bikes touch is something to consider.

PRO:
--This is a sturdy feeling unit. I am impressed with the welds and the robustness of the design. Everything works like it should.

--Was easy to put together. You will need some wrenches.

CONS:
--I don't particularly care for is the 1.25" to 2" adapter. That thing could be a little more snug. I can shim it up and make it less wobbly/rattle less, but I only do that for longer road trips. The other issue related to this is the hitch pin. It is a threaded bolt with a whole for a pin on the end. You will need a wrench with you to install this snuggly, otherwise the threads are machined well enough you could just hand tighten this in and be fine for shorter rides. Which is what I do.

--The triangles used to support the bike are pretty large. 24" universal mountain bikes with a "top bar adapter" were a little fiddly to get on the rack. I had to raise all the seat posts up to make enough room to get them hung. This could be my technique, but it can be a challenge to hold a heavy bike up that long for some people.

Observations:
I had to learn the hard way that women's bikes and "universal" bikes will require an adapter on most bike carriers of this style. If you are curious, there are three types of frames:
>Mens -- Straight upper bar that goes nearly level with the earth from stem to stem
>Womens -- Swoopy bar that curves and bends, you know when you see it.
>Universal -- These are like a men's bike, but the top bar is angled downward, no bends.
The Allen brand adapter is the least expensive and I have three of them now. There is a review about those where someone got some vinyl hose and wrapped that around the pin that goes under the handle bars. I recommend that too.

The first thing we are going to do is take it on a 5 hour car trip down the interstate to a secluded beach house (you know, covid) I will update the review if anything "Shakes out" on that trip.

The reason I chose this bike rack was the several reviews that mentioned they had used this for years while hauling bikes up and down the USA. I did not pick the ALLEN four bike rack (premium) because there were several reviews that showed bent arms. Time will tell if this was the right "Sub-200" dollar bike rack.

Also - I paid money for this and no one is my keeper. These are my opinions, period.
