About the author

Arizona Tape is a European author who enjoys nothing more than creating new worlds with nuanced characters and twists on mythology from around the world.
Her stories often contain a fantasy element with the focus on inclusivity, diversity, and representation. Whether it’s dragon shifters looking for their fated mates or demons hiding in the human world, there’s always an element of romance and discovery from a modern angle.
Growing up, she could be found making multiple trips to the library on the same day or sneakily reading under the covers past bedtime. She still writes most of her books at night.
She lives in the UK with her girlfriend and adorable dog, Fudgestick, who is the star of her newsletter. Sign up here for adorable pictures and free books: www.arizonatape.com/subscribe

Arizona Tape descriptions quickly immersed me in the characters and ceremonies starting with the Moon Goddess ritual and the lake. Matching marks come morning bring happiness and the hope for a HEA.
I noted a few teasers for probable hiccups to come in future books - Drakefield, family acceptance and challenges loom. The series beckons.

This short story follows the pair as they prepare for the ritual and you get to experience all of Ruby’s worries about whether a human woman could really be her fated mate. She already loves her, but this would take their relationship and future together, to a whole new level of intensity. There is still Hannah’s very human family to appease, as this is not quite a wedding as they would know it, but they are allowed to come and view part of the ceremony, as they make their vows to each other. The ritual should be done in a certain manner and Hannah jumps in at one point, saving Ruby from embarrassment, but will that anger the officials and the Moon Goddess? So much relies on a hectic event to do with the lake and whether their bond will allow them to find each other. Then the next day will show them the truth of everything. A pleasant, yet far too short read, but it gives you a flavour of more to come in the series. I received an ARC copy of this book form BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
