Roger Priddy is the creator of over two hundred best selling books for young children including Wipe Clean ABC, First 100 Words, and Fuzzy Bee.

When he was at school he couldn't decide between being a patisserie chef or going to art college. On the advice of his father he chose art college and trained as an illustrator before becoming a designer at Usborne Publishing.

Roger's love for children's early learning has led him to create some of the most successful children's non-fiction books, first at Dorling Kindersley (My First Word Book, Incredible Cross Sections and My First Cook Book) before he set up Priddy Books with St. Martins Press in New York where several of his books have sold over a million copies each including First 100 Words, My Big Animal Book and Happy Baby Words.

In total he has sold over 65 million books worldwide and his books have been translated into over 30 languages.

He says "It is always rewarding to see a child enjoying and learning something from one of our books, especially the babies when you think it could be the first book they have ever seen.

I am very lucky to have a career where you get to think up fun ways to teach a kid how to write their letters and learn their first words whilst finding out about Dinosaurs at the same time!"

Roger lives in London and has three children, who have given him most of his best ideas for his books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome
By Jessica Shaw on October 30, 2020
I wanted to write a review mostly because the latest photo review is wrong. "A ewe" isn't a spelling mistake. "Ewe" is pronounced like "you", not "ew".

Also I have three of these books: On the Farm, At the Zoo, and Baby Animals. There are no repeating pictures in any of them. The only thing close is this one has a sheep and another book has a little lamb.

Love these books, my baby is still too small to understand but he likes looking at the pictures, smacking his hand against the fur, and chewing on the corners.

3.0 out of 5 stars Typo in the book
By Asif S on May 4, 2020
Typo in the book (a ewe instead of an). I bought multiple books and they repeat most of the images. Not that many touch&feel features for the baby. But for this price I guess it’s worth buying one book from the author
