The cards are fine, particularly for the price as they are very cheap. The thickness is comparable to a regular playing card, so I can see how it's possible to give yourself a paper cut with the things. But in terms of their size, they are probably twice the size of a regular playing card. I measured one at 88mm x 134mm.

You get 54 cards in total, two of each number from 1 to 26. All the cards have bright, colourful and instantly recognisable illustrations on the front. On the rear, one 'set' of the cards have the number as text, and the other 'set' has it as the actual number. So, for example, you'll have two cards with just one item on the front, but on the rear, one will have 'one' written on, and the other has '1'.

My two-year-old find these quite engaging, and at the moment, I'm only dealing with numbers 1 to 10, but plan to start introducing higher numbers soon. He doesn't just enjoy the counting but also likes to shout out what the images are.
