This is a nice follow up to the 2006 book. It's beautifully drawn and it provides some great illustrations too. It's a very nice way to teach the social skills of kind actions and respectful behavior. In my own class, I use a jar and marbles. I ask the students if they have any bucket fillers, then if they do, I drop a marble into the class "bucket". The students enjoy sharing their experiences, they can also talk about how someone has "filled their bucket" too. The class is often inspired by seeing the nice marbles in the bucket. This is a very nice complement to this book. I recommend it as a follow up to the 2006 book, or on its own. Enjoy filling a bucket today!
I actually updated my review. I agree with a reviewer. This book is WAY TOO LONG! It's supposed to be a picture book, but it took me so long to read it. The message is great and the edition of the kids is great too. But it is too long! That's my only criticism, but it does effect the book.
