We got these in our Prime Wardrobe with two other pair of boots. Husband had a really hard time choosing between these and the pair he ultimately kept.. but he works in pretty rough elements and the other pair were coated on the outside with a rubber-like material. That is the reason he chose them and not these. He couldn’t believe how comfortable these were, like cushy comfortable, and he felt like he wouldn’t even need arch support insoles. They also look really cool.. I think if you’re looking for a nice pair of boots and your job doesn’t get that messy and dirty, then definitely don’t hesitate to buy these! I’m not questioning their durability at all.. I believe they’ll work just as well in messy and dirty conditions but it’s just something my husband thought would be best for him. And if they happen to be on Prime Wardrobe at the time, even better! You have 7 days from the day you receive them to try them out in your home (just remember you have to return them in brand new condition ;) ) and the return process is so simple! You just put them back in the box, seal them, drop them off at a UPS drop off location, they give you proof of drop off, and you’re done!

He ordered this pair because the last ones wore out after three months. I wouldn’t have ordered the same thing but he was desperate and didn’t shop. Most likely he failed to pre-treat them once he received them.
Best way to make a good work boot last is to pre-treat it before you start using it and then actually Dustin off every once in a while and retreat with waterproofer.

So out of the box they were in good shape. They only had one spot that rubbed my ankle for about 8 hours during the break in. It wasn't enough to leave a mark and really only an occasional annoyance. The traction is decent, and I didn't note any issues walking through snow or across small patches of ice. I will update as the boot sees more use and in different conditions. FYI, I don't work in them aggressively outdoors and really just bought them for their EH rating for a requirement on building entrance. They are a bit klunky in appearance compared to what you might think from the pictures, if that's important to you. They are also true to size with just enough room for a thick sock if you need the extra warmth.

Total torture device, 30 hours so far trying to break them in and still killing my feet took the skin off the back side of my foot they are extremely tight compared to the boots (same size) I've bought in the last 20 years, the only good so far is the padding in the sole is fairly comfortable, I highly recommend trying these boots on in a store where your not out a 180.00 bucks like me..... I'm going back to cheap Walmart boots and just buy 3 pairs a year same money and have a new pair of boots every few months.
