I ordered the 3X, which should fit properly at your waist - below the stomach. If you plan to wear it around your stomach, you will need to order a 4X at least. Do some research on sizing before ordering.

Very comfy but poor string design

I love these shorts as they have nice deep pockets, look good and are very breathable. I have to take out a star for the poor cord design. Normally shorts like these have a shoe-lace string that you can tie together at the waist to hold them up, this is one closed string which means you have to cut it to get it tight and in place. I'm not a fan of damaging a product I just got and also since there's no plastic cap, the string might get damaged in the washing machine. It's a big design flaw in my eyes, but otherwise the shorts are great.

Great product but just a little short for me

I'm a 6ft average sized male. I don't have extra long/short legs/torso etc. I like my shorts long and baggy. I bought the 2XL size and the length was down to the middle of my knees, perfect! But after one wash they shrank to the top of my knee (approx 1/2 inch) nothing major but enough for me to mention. The length from crotch down is 9 inches and the length on the outside from the top of the waistband down is 20.5 inches. Otherwise a great product with no issues. I'm gonna keep these but try the 3XL too.

Not a fan of the drawstring style or quality of the string material. I bought prior versions from them with the proper tie string and it is much better. Unfortunately Amazon was suggesting this one as an alternative for me since old ones are gone

These shorts are so comfortable and great to wear that I had to buy more than one. They breathe, fit perfectly, are durable, and look really great. The material is light and yet tough. The pockets are deep. The colors are awesome. And, for the price???? I paid anywhere from $12.50 to $15.00 (USD) for a pair. Try buying a pair that has this quality from another name brand company and you will be paying 2 - 5 times as much. I use them for working out, playing basketball, running, sleeping, and just laying around the house.

When they say, "they don't build 'em like they used to", they sure are not talking about these shorts from Champion! Some of the best sports shorts that I have ever owned in my life... and I've had a lot of them.

If you are on the fence about buying a pair of these, please do not hesitate to do so. I sure don't regret one thing about buying these.

I own a few recently bought Champion mesh gym shorts in various colors. They have all been satisfactory in fit, style and size. On this occasion I bought the same pair in a gold/yellow color and once again, they are satisfactory in all respects. They are good-looking, very comfortable and good for casual wear as well as some sports.
They are very similar to the Russell brand of mesh gym shorts which I own in different colors but the pair of Russell I bought this time with the Champion, and received, were not good. Something was severely wrong with the waist making them unwearable. I think I would choose the Champion over the Russell shorts in this category in future because of this one time bad experience.
