Cheaper By The Dozen: While raising twelve children, a middle-aged couple decides to pursue more demanding careers -- He as a "Big Ten" university football coach, she as an author on book tour -- only to discover that big families and big careers are a difficult mix. Cheaper by The Dozen 2: Four years later, the baker family's twelve children are growing up and some of the older ones are making plans to leave home. Feeling nostalgic for the good old days, Dad insists on taking everyone on a final family summer vacation to Lake Winnetka, where he is challenged into proving his parental skills in an ongoing competition with another big family.

Purchased for bored grandchildren, but can't deliver at present. I have seen both films, however, so I know they will like them too!
Maybe I am particularly sensitive to this topic (relationship parent-children) having a 3 year old daughter and being pregnant again... anyway I think the characters were amazingly true, believable, even if the situations that made me laugh were clearly pure fiction! I found myself crying at the end of both movies and still now, a week after watching them, I find myself talking about these films to my mom/husband/friends. So, if you are a young parent like myself, these films give you an opportunity to think about the kind of parent you really want to be and the type of relationship you want to have with your kids, bearing in mind "there is no perfect father/mother" but if you are a teenager or younger you will love it as anybody can identify with one of the kids too, and it is a lot of fun!! It's one of those movies you can own and watch over and over again!
Love this collection of movies.
Watch over and over again.
