Despite the picture on the web, the old formula is not produced any longer. The picture on the site is the red package, but you can only get a green packaged product when ordered. I contacted the company that manufactures this mix (in Europe). After much internal referrals within that company, I was informed that the green package is their new and “improved” version of Shepherd’s Pie Mix. I was able to get a list of ingredients and note that there is a significant difference between the green (current) package and the red (former) package. So, bottomline, you cannot get the product that is pictured on the web page. If you have gotten used to the original taste, you might take issue with the comment from the company that this new version is “improved”. We have experimented with adding our own spices to this new mix and, by trial and error, feel like we now can get close to the original taste. It is somewhat bothersome that Amazon pictures a product that is no longer produced.

If you like Shepherds pie but can't take the time, or don't know how, to make it from scratch this is the product for you. My wife is
English and we both loved her Shepherds pie, from scratch, once she found this mix she never made it from scratch again. She passed away this past winter and now I am making it for me and my dog. Buy this mix, you will really be amazed at your cooking skills

I discovered Colman's Shepherd's pie whilst in England but it is difficult to find in my area; when I could, it was very expensive. This is very economical but hate the fact that the carbon footprint was huge as it was shipped from the UK. Luckily, I probably have enough until the next trip over the pond -- will put it on the grocery list along with Gale's Lemon Curd. Yum!

Great product, I use to be able to purchase this at my local grocery store, but unfortunately they stopped selling it. It’s a very tasty mix. Just add the ground beef, frozen carrots/peas and mash potatoes. All of the directions are on the package, though it does show it in celcious not Fahrenheit. The conversion was simple set oven to 392. Will buy again.
