2.0 out of 5 starsDisappointed not warm enough
Reviewed in Canada on November 18, 2019
I bought them to survive the Canadian winter... but I'm extremely disappointed because they're not warm enough even in temperatures of -4C and feels like -15C (ON FALL, we're not even in Winter). I'll try to give share the more details as possible.
The first time I wear them, it snowed, the temperature -4C, and feels like -15C. I went for shopping groceries and walked 2km outside only; walking to the bus stop, in the parking lot of the grocery store, leaving the store and walking again to a bus stop. When I was getting home (IN THE BUS), my feets started to get cold, specifically the toes. I ended up getting back with freezing toes. Even though the boots have Omni-heat and all those beautiful tech names... I wore winter socks... but it was like I had regular socks.
That's why I'm only giving 2 stars, you're supposed to buy winter boots not only to repel water and feel comfortable but also to keep your feets warm, and this pair didn't work for me. Now because the return POLICY is for unused products, I need to spend more money on another pair of boots because this only worked when temperatures are positive (2C feels like -1 my second try).
Columbia is a well-recognized brand for making quality products, but in MY EXPERIENCE, these boots are not what the specs say (keeps you warm up to -32C... yeah, right! Maybe cheaper boots will do.
