I love the variety of lengths and diversity of this leash. I can clip it to my belt, or make a handhold using the clips and metal links, or clip to front and back of my leash-training pup’s harness and hold it in my hand. The material is really nice to hold onto and this leash has lasted through two dogs who can pull really hard and jerk the leash when they put their minds to it! My leash training skills get a 5/10 but this leash gets a 10!!

I was a little bit hesitant to buy this leash simply based on the look on the pictures. After I received it and used it, it takes me to a better and pleasant walk for my dog. My 15-month-old Goldendoodle is very energetic and pulls me a lot. My arms get hurt by his pulling when I used the traditional leash attached to the neck collar. I originally ordered a head collar together with this leash, but the size of the head collar is too small so I need to return the head collar. I temporarily used this Halti leash attached to front ring on my dog's harness (Canada Pooch). It works well although it is not perfect but I have appreciated the change while walking my dog. The quality of the leash is soft/comfortable but durable. I can either use it the long leash or shorten the leash as necessary. I find it is easier for me to hook one end of the leash on my hip/waist and this will create a good distance between me and my dog on heel position. I guess my dog feels differently by my body weigh so he normally will walk back and close to me on heel position once he attempts to pull to other direction. My hands are free in this way, but it gives me the flexibility to reach the leash and control my dog easily. Hopefully my dog will learn and get used to walk properly soon. I do not suggest the way to put the leash on the hip/waist if you are a thin person and have a big dog who likes to pull. I am quiet fit and keep an eye on my dog's action by controlling the leash with hands. Anyway, I do enjoy using his Halti leash compared to different types of leashes which I have used on my dog.

Only had this lead for two weeks but have had to return it. Had been attaching the large clip to the collar and the smaller one to the harness. Once the initial excitement on a walk has calmed down I unclip the harness and just use as a long lead. On two occasions the large clip just came undone! Thankfully each time it happened I still had the harness clip in use too. My dog is a corgi who is just ten months old. Had I had him on it as just a long lead when it came undone, it doesn’t bear thinking about! In my opinion this is dangerous, and perhaps the clip needs changing as I can now see many buyers have returned it for problems with the clip

We are on our second one as we do like it for training the dog but...the first one snapped and dog ran into the road! We had been attaching the small hook to his harness ...its not strong enough. Now with the second one we only attach the larger hook. But to get my dog to stop pulling I try to hold a bit further down but it's not easy to grap so I end up with it around my hand which can hurt. I'll admit I'm on edge every walk incase the same thing happens again and it breaks near a road.

My favourite lead I've had so far!! Can't recommend enough. It's been perfect for training my labradoodle who used to pull non stop. I used it along with a harness that has attachments on the front as well as the back, and within 1 walk I'd already noticed a difference in how well she'd walk to heel. Worked better than other options we've tried such as halters, and it makes for a much more comfortable walk for both me and her.
It's also so versatile as I can have it round my waist for hands free walking, or can use the full length to give her more freedom.

I bought this to use with a slightly nervous rescue dog, and it's perfect for clipping one end to his collar and the other to his harness for extra security. Soft enough not to chafe when wrapped around your hand, and seems very sturdily stitched, so it should last well. I like the red colour too, which makes it easy to find when it's been left lying around the house after a dog walk!
