The hole on the bottom is not cut in the centre, which should not affect performance, but seems like something that shouldn't be hard to do. The edges of the hole also still has aluminum burrs, which is concerning. It is covered in scratches and has a dent. The quality control for this is terrible and I'm hoping I've recieved one that slipped through the cracks. I'll be returning and ordering another.

The cake pan came with scratches & dirt on surface (see 1st photo). We tried to wash it using warm soap water by hand. However, we found it was difficult to get rip of the dirt. We wiped the cake pan for many times and can still see the dirt on the paper towel (see 2nd photo). We ended up returning it.

Bottom has indeed few scratches from manufacturing, dont see that as a big deal. Lot op people cut pie in pan and then it scratches too. Nice and deep (handy for covering overnight without touching the topping) and sturdy material. NO complaining please, READ instructions! Although it should be common knowledge that aluminum should never go in dishwasher, the instructions clearly state how to clean first time and how to maintain and yes it states "handwash". Enjoy baking.
