Since I have Dell monitors at work I had high hopes for this monitor but was immediately disappointed. The image was washed out and the colors were faded. I tried adjusting the limited video settings but I couldn’t come close to matching together display of the built-in screen on my Dell laptop. I’m sure there are decent Dell monitor options out there, this just isn’t one of them.
not a 144hz monitor, as the description states. Actually a 60hz. Didn’t realize until long after my purchase, when I switched to PC and was able to get a frame counter. Payed as much as I could have for a 144hz monitor. Essentially, I got bamboozeled by Dell. Look elsewhere for a monitor, you’ll get better performance and proper descriptions, as they can exist together.
I knew I should not have expected much from a Dell, but come on. Bought this because it was such a good deal with pretty good reviews. Turns out I think my unit was faulty and had a loose wifi chip or something. Tried to contact Dell and they couldn't help me fix the issue. My room is literally right near our wifi router, and all my other devices like my phone, google home mini, and even my crappy little surface pro all get full wifi bars. Not the Dell monitor, which got nearly no bars and disconnected from the internet every twenty minutes. I could hardly even search something on google with it. It wouldn't even load songs from Spotify. And don't even get me started on just trying to load a youtube video. Tried to solve it myself with help from online forums and messed around a lot with turning up the roaming settings and even tried a factory reset, but nothing worked. Decent size and color, but I would never want someone to have to deal with this unit if they got one like mine. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
I added this monitor as a dual monitor for work. There are windows right behind me and there is no glare at all. I don't use this for gaming, but my files and videos are clear, bright and stream smoothly. I would buy again.
Even with attempts at intense tuning, the panel is not great. Sure it's sharper, has more settings, and has a faster potential refresh rate, but honestly prefer the panel in my Dell SE2416H. Lack of a displayport connection is disappointing, but the fact that it at least has 2 HDMI ports + VGA instead of 1 + VGA is something I guess. The TN panel is horrendous on the one I got. It's too bright at the same settings as the SE2416H, there is discoloration all the way up & down the sides. Changing the refresh rate to anything other than "Normal" in the imbedded display settings causes terrible ghosting effects. The contrast is way off, trying to fix it only makes things worse. Every preset for the monitor is either too bright or too dark, and most of the tuning features are disabled for some reason. If not for the condition of the panel, I'd say it's decent for what it is, maybe I just got a bad one?
Disappointed. Poor resolution. Distorted text and layout proportion. We always bought Dell monitors for our office without this problem before but these monitors are poorly made and are a waste of money.
I bought two of these for my kids to use for their ps5's when they come to my house. The graphics are crisp. Love that they have to use headphones for sound otherwise they blast the sound. Great buy...
