Nancie Carmichael has been involved in writing and publishing for many years, including as co-publisher at Virtue Magazine, Christian Parenting Today Magazine and now Deep River Books. Nancie's many books include Lord, Bless My Child (written with her husband, Bill); Selah; and Surviving One Bad Year. Her most recent book is The Unexpected Power of Home (and an accompanying study guide), published in 2018.

Nancie graduated with her MA from George Fox Seminary in 2012. Nancie and her husband Bill, live in Central Oregon, have five married children and a passel of amazing grandchildren. Nancie loves walking along the Metolius River as well as exploring many beautiful hikes in Oregon, trying to find that perfect huckleberry patch.
