Suprena Hickman is a registered nurse of 20 plus years- who now, as a Nurse Entrepreneur, chooses to use her stethoscope differently. The community of which she serves is her hospital and/or clinic. Suprena is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Better is Possible CDC, Inc.- which includes Girls Rocking in the South (GRITS) and Escape 2 Sisterhood. She is also the CEO or Chief Escape Officer of Suprena Hickman Enterprises, LLC (SHE)- which includes Sankofa Training & Wellness Institute, LLC, Your Escape Coach, LLC, and Sweet Escapes by Suprena. Through each company, Suprena offers an opportunity of healing- even with her baked goods! Suprena’s mission with SHE is to help women heal. She empowers the lives of women and teen girls through her coaching, adult and youth mentorship, workshops, wellness retreats, and live events.

For nearly a decade of her career, Suprena has traveled within the country providing direct support to hospitals, clinics, and community organizations. Suprena understands the impact self-sacrifice can have on one’s personal health by placing the needs of others before their own. As Suprena has learned to heal herself, she has continued to share her process of healing- physically, mentally, and spiritually! She utilizes her personal journey, to help broken women desiring help, to fearlessly pursue their passion and purpose while assisting them to optimal holistic health. She believes that the best investment you could ever make is in yourself.

Suprena is a graduate and proud alum of Norfolk State University where she received her B.S. in Nursing. She also received her MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is a Certified Integrative Health Coach- trained by Duke Integrative Medicine. Suprena is a member of American Nurses Association, National Nurses in Business Association, Black Nurses Rock, North Carolina Nurses Association, National Black Nurses Association, & International Coach Federation. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the YWCA Lower Cape Fear and also NSEA Swim Foundation. She is currently married with one child and a caregiver/care manager for her mom out of state. She has great passion for caregivers and other high-achieving women.

Suprena is indeed a healed Alpha Woman who is very purpose driven and she represents her plus size Queens by being a fierce & PHAT BOSS. She is passionate about life and purpose and she desires the same for everyone. She believes that no matter the challenges we face, we have the power to rise up from it.
