I have a cat who is problematic with pooping just outside the litter box. He is healthy and after many failed attempts to correct the issue I tried this. No more pop on the floor. Just refresh the box with this from time to time and we haven’t had an accident in months

Thank you Dr Elsey for this litter attract series of products. My elderly cat Lincoln stopped using his litter recently and we tried just about everything. His vet said he was in good health but I guess when we started letting him out in our yard supervised he just very quickly developed a preference for outdoor peeing. But now when the weather isn’t great and he’s stuck inside he ends up peeing just about everywhere other than his litter box. Adding the litter attract to his box worked almost instantly. I added way more than directed - maybe 1-2 cups- while my cat was watching me and within 60 seconds of adding it in he started sniffing around and jumped in and made a huge pee in his litter for the first time in weeks! I could cry I’m so happy.
** don’t punish your cats for peeing outside their box. They are stressed and/or unwell. Take them to a vet and try Dr Elsey***

Unfortunately this product did nothing to alleviate the problem.

My kitten was from a farm litter and she came home at 10 weeks never having been inside a house. Sweetest little kitten but refused to use the litter box for pee. She always pooped in it but never peed. She peed in our laundry, on our bed, etc. right in front of us! After 3 months of this I was so frustrated.
This product was a last attempt to not banish her to being an outside cat ☹️.
It works, it works!

I got recommended this because my cat won’t stop going outside the litter box no matter what I do, it honestly just smells like catnip and some other sort of herbs.
I probably should’ve trusted the “bad” reviews because it really does not help, he just ends up still going outside the litter box and doesn’t even seem interested in it nor do my other cats so, probably don’t get this if you have a cat that also has this problem.

I love Dr. Elsey's kitty litter! I usually use the Cat Attract one (red), because I started with the pink on when my cat was a kitten. She's had a lot of issues with using the litter though. I tried to use other brands, and she would deny it and pee in the tub (usually). She now has two litters, and both use this litter. I found this one was cheaper than the Cat Attract. But that may change as prices change. I do find the smell travels sometimes, but I'd rather that then cat poop. She gets it in her paws or elsewhere sometimes as well. But she's a long hair cat, so that could be why.

We brought a new rug home from Ikea and obviously the kitten decided it was her new pooping destination. We dealt with cleaning up her smelly poops off the rug for about 3 days before I was truly fed up and tried to hunt down the actual cat attract litter, but it was sold out literally everywhere so we 'settled' for this. It works. It works do damn well. It's been a solid week now and my kitten hasn't even so much so as sniffed in the direction of the rug, she loves going to her litter box and never poops outside of it anymore!!! She's 6 months old, and hadn't had this problem until we brought the rug home, I'm so stoked that this stuff works!

A month ago my older (16-year) cat started pee and poop outside her litter box. Cat Attract litter helped improve, but did not solve the situation. This litter attractant powder noticeable improved the situation, but did not entirely solve the problem. I will buy more of it when my currrent supply runs out.

Absolutely magic!

We bought this in desperation for our older cat with very low expectations. We’ve had a long-standing issue with her pooing around the house, but it had been getting progressively worse until she was no longer using the litter trays at all. Vet investigations, food changes, various plug ins, sprays, cleaners, an enormous litter tray moved around the house etc did nothing. So we tried this, and within a week she was exclusively using her litter tray again!
This has been absolutely life-changing and therefore completely worth the price. Also worth noting you use a lot less of this than the paper-based one we were using before because you only throw out a very small amount so the price doesn’t work out as bad as it looks. Make sure it’s deep, then scrape the back of the scoop across the bottom of the tray before collecting the clumps to make sure it’s all coated in cat litter then you don’t end up with the sticky mess we had to start with and some people have mentioned. It’s also a much less messy job than with other litter I’ve tried.
What worked for us was covering the area she best liked to use with an oilcloth tablecloth (to protect the floor really but turned out she didn’t like the texture so I think that helped), putting an enormous litter tray with this in in the two spots she most often used, to start with putting her poos in there from the floor and loads of praise when she got it right. We make sure it’s always clean for her and in a private spot where she can see around her so nothing to put her off.
She also seems a lot happier now. I had hoped the younger cats would carry on with their usual litter but nope, lol. They love this stuff too so I guess this is what we use now but we’re absolutely delighted with the results and so much less stressed all round.

Sorted out our inappropriate pee problem

For the first few weeks, my kitten Mawri would frequently wee outside the litter tray. It turned out this was because we were using scented litter and she hated it, but before we figured that out, this was a godsend. It works so well that I put a sprinkle on her litter and she raced all the way down the hall with a "WHAT IS THAT I'M GONNA PEE ON IT" look on her face. From then on, we've had no problems.
I'd skip the smaller side of the pourer and use the bigger one, otherwise you'll be there all day. It does look a tad like your litter's gone mouldy, what with it being green and herby-looking, but you can always mix it in.
All in all, does what it promises to do so well that we didn't even use half the bottle. Recommended.

Sadly didn't work for our half here, half sometimes not, semi feral (although we neutered him) tabby. Wanted to get him to use the litter tray like our other cats but he won't. Never mind, will try again in due course.

Amazing !

My elderly cat had been weeing in the house despite having litter trays. I tried various products to try and stop it happening. Decided to try this litter after reading the reviews. It is amazing, she uses the litter tray all the time now . Whilst it is expensive , it has stopped the constant washing of mats. Money well spent.

Great to get them back in the box!

My cat suffers from flutd meaning he sees bouts of cystitis once or twice a year. He feels pain when in the litter box and starts going elsewhere. Once he's treated it can be difficult to coax him back. This stuff works wonders. One box of litter to get him back in his tray and we can switch it back to his regular litter. Pricey if you need it permanently but super useful as a one off to coax them back after medical issues!
