I would 100% not recommend this product to anyone, it will destroy your phone speaker. I'll be contacting the company for sure.
In step15, right before placing the metal cylinder, it shows you to press the power button through the frame to wake up the screen, DO NOT DO THAT. If you do, the frame flexes and push screen protector out of position, creating major air bubbles and cause glue to run down all over your phone and potentially into your earphone.
Instead, make sure your "double tap to turn on screen" is activated in settings, and turn on touch sensitivity just in case. At this step, very lightly double tap screen to wake up your phone and know where the fingerprint sensor is, then follow the rest of steps.
Make sure have a few cotton swabs on hand, and look to make sure no glue has touched the speaker grill before curing the top portion, wipe it clean if there are any. Then cure as much as you can, until you can't smell the glue anymore.
Note 1: when you are told to hold down the bottom of the screen protector and drop the top onto the bridge... use only one finger and LIGHTLY, otherwise the glue doesn't spread to that spot without using some sort of spatula.
Note 2: DON'T ASSUME that just because you have followed the directions saying glue needs to be cured for 60 seconds x 3 on top, middle and bottom sections (9 minute total) that the glue is actually cured AT ALL.
I was ok with the process up till this point - except for the fact that one leg of the UV lamp snapped off as soon as I opened it so I had to hold the other end up the whole time - but 'after curing', when you are instructed to use your thumbs to gently remove the phone from the stand - TA DA! THE GLUE HAD NOT CURED AT ALL AND THE SCREEN PROTECTOR CAME OFF THE PHONE WITH GLUE SPREADING EVERYWHERE!!
I was able to quickly drop the screen protector back on the phone and panicked when I saw the glue had spread to the speakers and buttons etc. so quickly wiped them all clear... had to use a scraper to ensure I got as much as possible out of the speaker. Then, of course, I have bubbles EVERYWHERE and had to manually press them out. I was 90% successful at this and only a few are left. I RE-CURED for 60 seconds X 4 in 4 sections of the phone and then saw the lumps of finally cured glue on one side of the phone. Realized I'd better bond with the lumps cause they're NEVER coming off!
Got glue on my table, my hands, my clothes and that stuff does NOT come off! Tried unsuccessfully to get the excess glue off the stand and bridge so at least I could use that again if I ever attempted to use the second in the 2 pack. NOPE. The stand is useless now with all the clumps of glue on it. The UV lamp is one-legged.
After this 2 hour panic at the disco.... The screen protector is on and I am learning to ignore the glue bumps on the side of the phone. Minimal bubbles still remain.
I would say the 2nd protector is probably never going to be used since a) I will never attempt that again and b) the tray and bridge are already covered with hardened glue.
If you bother with this product... get one only and pay a professional to apply it for you!!
