There are honestly no cons for me to list. This is a great product. Does everything it advertises.
The issue some people have mentioned online about the magnetic top panels for the wire management in the arm is not an actual issue unless the tension of the cable running through the arm is excessive. Proper wire management should make room for this. See attached image for an example of my wire management. I have had no issues with the magnetic panels popping off during regular movement and use of the arm.

Great arm but it would be much better IMO if the arm movement was spring loaded with some kind of tension adjustment instead of just a tension adjustment. Can't easily tuck it away under your monitor without adjusting one or more finger nuts and changing the angles and everything.

Has a hard time holding my Shure SM7B, and easily rotates undesirably at the last joint where the arm meets the wedge clamp. This should likely be knurled similar to how the ball joint has rings cut into it for added grip, instead it's cut smooth and has little holding strength. I also whish the ball mount could be ordered with the correct size thread instead of adapters, they always come loose and degrade from the experience.

Arm quality is pretty good, but unfortunately did not work well for my mic (EV RE20).
This metal arm is not very good for heavier mic setups due to plastic tightening nuts on the joints. The plastic makes it hard to lock heavier setups in place. It will untighten itself and cause the arm to droop.
Shame, because it is hard to find good quality low angle mic arms. So, back to using my PSA-1 arm.
Side note, the cable management feeds in the arm are not meant for cables with XLR terminations - you will not be able to feed the cable through, so you will need something like velcro straps.

I’m very impressed to say the least. Solid build quality and good components. The clamp is also very solid and well built. Lots of metal on this thing which is nice. I will be recommending it to my friends.

My only complaint is that they have designed it so that you need a specific Allen key to tighten it. It does need tightening quite often if you move the arm around often. They could have designed it so that there was some sort of handle attached to tighten it and done away with the need for the Allen key.
I’m a minimalist so don’t like the idea of having to store lots of little bits for various things I have around the house. I also tend to lose things and a tiny Allen key is extremely easy to lose.

Great addition for an under-monitor setup!

I was looking for a low profile mic arm that could sit under my raised monitors when not in use. Nothing else on the market offered this to me; everything was big, loud, and required lots of space above and around to work effectively.
This Elgato mic arm is perfect for my use case. When not in use, it sits - rather inconspicuously - under my monitors, without taking ownership of the desk space thereof; I have room for a Nest Hub, my smartwatch stand, and my Qi charger to sit under it, and I can still extend it out for use without any issues.
Some of you may be concerned about the price point; is it really worth ~£90? The short answer: yes.
The long answer? Most of the mic arms you'll see below this price point are made of skinny tubes of thin, cheap metal, with stiff, cheap springs, and wrapped in thin, cheap plastics. Even "big brand" names will charge MORE than this for the same cheap tat. These options will break, even with the most careful movement, unless you put them in one position and never move them at all. On top of that, every other mic arm will loom over you like a tower.
Nothing about the Elgato mic arm feels cheap. It's made from thicker metal in all the right places. Even the covers for the cable trench are metal. Where plastic is used, it's thick, sturdy, and coloured to match the metal; you wouldn't know it was plastic at a glance. The mic arm movement is smooth, yet I never feel like the slightest knock will shunt it out of place (which cannot be said for the cheap build options). Most importantly, it's understated; this arm makes decent mics pop out, and not-so-decent mics look significantly better than they otherwise would.
All in all, this is one of the best purchases I have made in recent years. If you're considering this, the only issue you should have is whether you're happy to meet the investment of the high price point. My only guidance here would be: you spend it now, on this mic arm, all in one go, and can have confidence it'll last a lifetime... or you spend more over a longer period on an endless cycle of replacing the cheaply made alternatives with more cheaply made alternatives.

I'll just list the pro and cons
Pros:
Offers a way to have a boom style arm without obstructing cameras or screens. great for podcasts or people with 3+ screens, live streamers etc.
Cons:
Mount clamp has no sound absorption holes like conventional boom arms mounts, making desk taps more noticeable without noise gate software. A normal boom arm does a much better job absorbing sound.
Mount clamp still uses the extremely brittle and awkward to use spring release plastic lever to tighten/loosen. I've had multiple of these snap. they are over engineered. a normal flower shaped lever would be much better.
The magnetic cable covers pop off if you move the arm in any way and because they are made out of metal they make a lot of noise when they pop off and hit your desk. They are also pointy so now my desk have a few indentations on my desk.
As with most Elgato products, the first few versions normally have small issues but I'm sure they will improve over time and I hope this feedback helps them improve.
Conclusion. Good idea but upon use its easy to see why the industry standard remains to be the conventional boom arm and I would continue to recommend either product with this in mind.

I find that the Mic Arm LP is great for space management and not obscuring my view of anything. I do have an extra piece of wood at the back of my desk to raise it a little more, so that it goes below my monitor but above my sound bar. It has plenty points of articulation and most of them can be tightened to a point of not slipping by themselves while also being movable by the user. The only point of articulation that is at risk of slipping is the second arm which can drop down under pressure - touching the mic too hard - but is easily adjusted again.
I sometimes swing it outwards to get it out from in front of my main monitor, and to do so is easy, and makes me more grateful for its low profile design. There are additionally cable management channels built into the arm for a clean look. Highly recommended.

Far better for me than a typical boom arm. This sits discreetly out of sight of the camera with just the very top of my (black and therefore almost invisible) microphone showing on calls.
It is high enough to allow access underneath whilst being low enough not to obstruct my view of anything. A perfect compromise
The cable management is excellent and the arm itself is super sturdy and can be adjusted to be as tight or as loose as required. I have it somewhere in the middle meaning I can move my mic easily but it stays put when moved.
Recommended.
