My second reaction was, “Where was this book when I started my training firm 3 decades ago? The whole plan—from acquiring top talent to pricing in a tough economy––is right here in this one book!”
Don’t be discouraged when you see the length of this book (258 pages). Yes, I know many publishers today are saying readers’ attention spans are growing shorter and shorter, so they want shorter and shorter books. But you will want to devour—and probably reread—every chapter in this book.
This author will stand “conventional wisdom” on its ear. Here are just a few of those common “truths” the book disputes—and with good explanation about why they don’t work (if they ever did):
• You don’t need more leads to be profitable. (You need higher quality leads.)
• You don’t need great salespeople. (You need your salespeople to STOP acting like salespeople!)
• You don’t need to spend money to make money. (Most organizations can double or triple their profitability with the assets they already have.)
• You don’t need more prospects. (You need to stop working 50-70 percent of the prospects who never buy!)
I could go on with these often-quoted myths that the author dispels. But you get the point. As the founder and CEO of a multimillion-dollar entrepreneurial venture, I only wish I’d found this book several decades ago!
1 purchase of this book 📖 was for myself. As I have owned companies in the past but none really reached true potential.
However after speaking to a long time friend who actually hired Kent Billingsley (author) for a previously owned company which Kent helped prepare this business for sale and sold for millions all while starting the business with a $10,000 credit limit on a credit card 💳. This CEO of a new company (less than 2 years in existence and growing locations rapidly) explained to me in November 2020 how even amongst the horrific pandemic of COVID 😷 the company came out of 2020 with a balance sheet of $2 million ahead. Of course I was thrilled to hear this news 🗞 especially since many long-standing companies in the same field had filed various forms of bankruptcy (gym industry) due to the pandemic. So I asked the question ‘How did you do this when so many others won’t open their doors 🚪 again’ ... the response was quick and without hesitation .... the CEO resolved with ‘I applied the tools ⚒️ and strategies Kent Billingsley (author) taught me when I hired him as a consultant for my previous business’.
Therefore I immediately thought of all the hard work 😓 and years I had put into my own businesses with not as much growth and certainly not reaping the revenue results. I have read so many ‘Business Books’ which all seemed to tell me how start and grow my business but the results (for me) were not showing regardless of how hard I worked or which book 📖 I followed. So I ordered this book 📖 ‘Entrepreneur to Millionaire’ and FINALLY I am reading a book that is teaching me how to make a lot of money by creating a more successful company just the same way my friend did with the gyms and a balance sheet of $2 million ahead during a National Pandemic.
I personally feel relieved to finally be reading 📖 something I feel will help me produce revenue at the level I have always dreamed.
The first chapter of this book 📖 describes the old me. The me who thought I was doing ‘right’ based on all I had previously seen and read. But clearly that didn’t and won’t work and after the struggles of COVID and prior I felt depleted of energy and excitement for my future business UNTIL I started reading Kent’s book.
I truly recommend this book to anyone starting a business or anyone running a business. Coming out of the COVID pandemic 😷 will be hard for most businesses so why keep doing what you have been doing when you can get a fresh start with the strategies and principles applied in this book!
The other purchase was for a soon to be college graduate whom I could see the passion and drive in his eyes 👀 towards his career path. I thought 💭 why not give this person a helping hand by providing a book (which I feel) will automatically put him on the right path to success as the last thing I wanted for this college graduate was for him to make the same mistakes I did.
Sometimes it takes just 1 book with the right (PROVEN) principles/strategies to give you an edge up and this is the book 📖 to do just that!

This book should be on your shelf right beside "Built to Last" or "The Lean Startup" as must read business books. In particular, demand creation and pipe-line acceleration (Chapters 9 & 10) are invaluable to anyone looking to really ramp their business.
