Seal & SandSealing your wood slab is an important step to prevent air from escaping, thus creating bubbles in your epoxy table. You can seal the wood slab by making a small River Table Epoxy mixture and applying one or two thin layers on the wood slab. Ensuring room temperature is 25 °c and allowing 8 hours between layers. After sealing, we recommend a quick sanding with a 120 grit sandpaper to provide traction for the epoxy poor to adhere to on the sealed slab. Before proceeding to the next step, ensure you clean the sanded wood slab thoroughly to remove dust and residue. |
Secure & PourSecure the wood slab with wood clamps and 2 by 4 wood pieces to ensure the wood will not float during the epoxy river table pour. Once everything is secured, you can proceed to the pour. Begin pouring your river table epoxy resin slowly while inspecting edges and corner to ensure there are no leaks. For faster degassing, you can wave a small torch back and forward on the surface. Do not stay at one spot for more than 1 second. |
Demold & SandAfter 72 hours at 25 °C you can slowly remove the mold from your new epoxy river table! With a safety mask & glasses sand from 120 down to 3000 grit sand paper. You can buff the table for added protection with beeswax, carnauba wax, or any of your choosing. To add an extra shine, you can then polish your table with any polishing agent of your choice for the best aesthetic looks! |

I was a bit unpleasantly surprised that the resin is purple when there's no picture or mention of that in the info. Unfortunately I didn't have time to return it because I needed to get my project done. Fortunately my project was in blues and purples so I went ahead with it. I'll just have to use this with certain colored projects only till I've used it up. Probably won't purchase again since its color limits what I can use it on.

I can’t even use this epoxy! The part a I received is purple!!!! How am I supposed to poor a clear coat with purple epoxy? The product picture and description say nothing about it being purple.

This epoxy resin takes fooorever to set up. Day three it just now the consistency of molasses. Will it ever harden?!? Mixed the whole 3 gallons so I know the ratio is correct 2:1. I have my heaters running full bore, it's 80+ degrees in my shop Also my project is only 1/2 deep, at the moment, I have another kit to finish to finish it, $500 invested. I'm afraid it will never cure. Not very happy. Wouldn't buy again.

I ordered a 3 gallon kit in April 2022. I stored it in a spare bedroom. Temp was between 68 and 70 degrees. Opened the first bottle and used 2 quarts to start a river table. and it was fine. 10 minutes later I poured the last 2 quarts from the bottle and it came out chunky with hard crystals. Opened the second bottle and used 2 quarts out of it and it was fine until I started to pour the last 2 quarts out of the bottle and I noticed it also had chunks of crystals in it. A whole gallon wasted. The hardener seemed fine. Hopefully it will set up. If not I have just ruined a beautiful $250 piece of sycamore and the cost of the resin..... Not to mention I now need more epoxy resin. So not happy.Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2022
