4.0 out of 5 stars Possibly my new favourite tarot deck
By Nox Erin on November 29, 2018
This little deck is lovely. A bit smaller than a standard deck of playing cards, it's still easy to handle and big enough that your eyes can roam around the images. The included travel case is decent but I'll be seeking a sturdier one. Once found this deck is going to be in my purse at all times.

The imagery itself is clearly Rider-Waite inspired and brings in most of the relevant symbolism (to my eyes and experience, at least). If you're particularly drawn to colours for symbolism and intuition you may feel something is missing, though.

The little white (purple) book that comes with it offers concise and actionable interpretations. I particularly appreciate that for reversed cards it seems to focus not on a particular static negative meaning but rather how blocked energies might be affecting somebody and how they might still approach this situation for movement and growth. It's revised my beginner tarot reaction ("doom!" "bad things!") to seeing inverted cards.

My one gripe is that the backs are not completely symmetrical, as you can see in the attached photo there's some asymmetrical cloudy design against the purple. That means I know whether the upcoming card with be upright or reversed. Does this really matter? Possibly not. But for anybody with OCD like mine it may cause discomfort.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small but mighty
By Lemurianseer on September 18, 2021
Very nice deck. Good card stock, matt finish is slightly "sticky" at first when shuffling. The cards' details are less than typical RW style; simpler. I wouldn't pick this deck for a novice due to lack of card details, but it's coming with me in my bag for impromptu readings. Would totally gift to an experienced reader or an avid researcher. To open the plastic box without destroying it, slip a fingernail or butter knife behind the access notch (see photo) and carefully pull out the folded edge.

This is a very nice set of small pocket-sized tarot cards. They come packaged in a wrap-around box with magnetic closure. The cards are in a transparent box fixed in the wrap around. Some reviewers have not liked the box, but I found it easy enough to open and close. The cards are stylishly coloured in purple, white and gold. The designs, while simple, still contain all the necessary visual clues for good interpretation. They are finished with lovely gold edges giving them a more expensive feel. These cards would be great for a beginner, or a more experienced reader. Would make an ideal gift.

Lovely deck, great simple images which reflect the Rider-Waite imagery and symbolism. Well packaged - the plastic box is very very awkward but works ok when it's been used a few times. Overall package is too bulky for a handbag. The little book is lovely and is stitched rather than glued, so it's very good quality and should last a lifetime. Colouring and styling of images is really nice, cardstock is smooth and good quality but the golden edges make the deck 'sticky' and difficult to shuffle. I am hoping that will get better with time and use. Overall, a lovely, simple, every day deck.
