There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
Yes, the frame is not rigid plastic like the original, but time will tell to see how these will stand up to regular vacuuming and getting blown out with my air compressor.
Compared to my OE filter which had "open pleats" on one side and a thin membrane covering the pleats on the pre-filter side, these are open pleats on BOTH sides. Probably going to be actually better for cleaning, but may decrease their lifespan due to making the filter material more vulnerable to damage.
The pre-filter on these new filters seem to be more robust than the original ones, BUT these can only be put on ONE WAY as there is a velcro strip attached to the pre-filter.
Will update if these don't work out!
Update 7-Apr-2023:. Since these filters are still not cheap, I've been trying to make these last as long as possible lol. On a weekly basis since installation, we've been trying to keep them as clean as possible. The charcoal pre-filter has a small tear from regular cleanings, and part of the attaching velcro strip is coming off of the filter housing. As for the pleated filter media, it shows quite a bit of degredation on one side. Since these filters (and most air filters) are designed as "one way only" filters, I only try to pull back dust and debris that has collected in it. Whether by vacuum or (gentle) air compressor use, you ned to always push the dust back the way it came, and not push forward.
