Matt Mitter was born on a Wednesday afternoon in Oklahoma City and later squandered his youth in and around the Ozarks. Later still, he lived here and there, and now and again did a bit of this and that. Over the past 20 years, he has written the text (mostly verse) for dozens of children's books that have been admired by readers of all ages for their delightful pictures. Currently, Matt resides in San Francisco, where he and his wife are indentured to two Scottish Folds.

Got this book for my 3-year-old daughter who loves the Halloween version of this.
Now she loves going to ELP and loves buses, so we got this one for her birthday Friday that just past and she hasn't put it down, she loves looking at all the pictures and the best part the flaps! a good 20 mins at a time on this book! highly recommend.

It's a big pet peeve of mine when I pay a premium price for a super shprt book thats educational, and it has mistakes.

The last page says to find the pairs (basically a "matching game" page for kids. But there isn't a second hat. You flip the tab for the little black boy and it's just him again with nothing changed.

I'm assuming he was supposed to be wearing a hat, but try explaining that to your 2 year old every time you get to that page.

"They messed up. The publishers made a mistake because they're lazy people, and this made it past their mouthbreathing editor."

Yeah, he doesn't get it. Give me my money back, or give me a corrected book.

The art is far worse than the older Little People books. The flip-outs are done poorly. The games are really bad, too.

There is more than one instance in this book where the fold hides the item you're looking at and even a fold-out that is THE SAME as the original picture.

My daughter is delayed in speech, and a common trait in delayed takers is that they don’t often let you read a book to them. These flap books are a helpful tool in keeping my daughter engaged enough to actually keep her attention on specific pages of the book. It gives me the opportunity to read the colors, shapes, and objects to her, which even if for a short time is of great benefit to her.

Only docked a star bc the last page says to find two hats and there is definitely only one, and my 2 1/2 year old makes us recheck alllllll the flaps looking for the other hat. But he loves buses and loved this book!
