What you need to know is that the format is not academic, rather, it's written as a story making it very light but also a lot less technical than you'd expect. the upside is that with the story you do get examples but there are a lot of blank spaces. The book however does tell you where to find more potent, step by step instructions. To be honest I haven't finished the book yet and already had 3 dates in the last month. For someone who used to be afraid to speak with girls, I have to say I find the results phenomenal and I have this book to thank for my newfound success.

I was curious when i heard about this book, and a little skeptical at the same time. all of these books on seduction that have come out lately seem a bit tacky to me, so when i saw the title of the book, it turned me off a little. I read a few reviews online, and it was enough to peak my interest, so i ordered the book. I am quite glad i did. the book is not what i had expected at all. You follow the main character on an rollercoaster of a two year adventure. And it doesn't glorify the seduction community either. It's an incredibly entertaining peice of literature, and even has some interesting philosophies at times. i can honestly say i've never read another book like it. It's a book i would only recommend to guys though... i'm not so sure women would get as much from it. But guys, do yourself a favor, and read this book. it's interesting, it's entertaining, and somehow, it leaves you feeling better about yourself, in it's own curious little way

This is the story of someone who ended up in a seduction community and who is stating in a matter of fact way, his experience. The fact that he presents the facts in a very objective way creates trust that what he is writing about is true and unfiltered. Would definitely recommend to people wanting to understand social dynamics and especially for those who want an introduction to the seduction community.

If you are looking to become a gentleman or just refine your etiquette, this book will probably just bore you after reading half of it. However, for those that do feel content with just getting laid or spending time with strippers and other misguided souls, it should do the trick.

I bought this purely out of curiosity and because I wanted to better understand the mindset behind why guys behave the way they do. It was very insightful and I liked how Neil's journey led him to realise the dark side of pick up artistry. I wish some of my ex's would have the same insight. At the same time, it astonishes me how insecurity basically led these men to treat other people as objects rather than fellow human beings...and then actually trained other people to do the same! I can't get over how picking up women is likened to military scenes of targeting and wingmen. Now nearly 20 years on, it's no wonder that men are finding that these 'tricks' no longer work because women are all too familiar with them. Not to mention 'me too'. This isn't a tirade against men - women can also be manipulative and selfish. But these men made whole careers out of playing other people and making a whole sub-culture which has now turned men and women against each other.

To be fair the story is not interesting at all as it narrates the unbearable celebrity-like lifestyle with a group of immature, needy and psychologically unstable people playing an odd plan called 'The Game'
Players of 'The Game', treat women as targets that should be seduced, convinced (or even tricked) and conquered. They justify anti-social or aggressive behaviours of themselves through a kind of social Darwinism and then define sexual intercourse as the ultimate gaol to be achieved with their targets. People who can go through all these stages easily and successfully call themselves PUAs, eventually becoming obsessed with this pattern, giving up all the normal life to play and teach 'The Game' for living. In fact, Neil demonstrates that 'The Game' is not as interesting as it sounds at first and can be quite difficult to cope with its consequences.

Leaving the story behind, the book has some good points and quotes to offer. If you read the book until the end with an open-mind, you can easily spot the references to real invaluable stuff like the body-language analysis, human psychology and evolutionary biology. You can read on them to understand human interaction with the opposite sex and play your own version of the game.

Whether you believe this is entirely a true story or not, it's a cracking read. Easy to read and great fun - I wouldn't use it as an advice guide for talking to the ladies though! Some of the corny tips used may work in the US (I wouldn't know!), but I'm pretty sure they won't work in the UK!
