The images for this product are all incorrect. They show a premium metal product from Gardena. I've attempted several times to let Amazon know but they haven't corrected it yet. So the attached image is the correct product - Gardena 36004 Quick-connector Starter Kit. The parts are all plastic. It does work well, and I've used Gardena connectors for many years - it's a proven product. But you will find that eventually the plastic connectors will wear down and fail - especially if you unscrew the threaded ends on a regular basis. The premium metal connectors last much longer.
I did find this same product cheaper at several local hardware stores, but if you can't easily get to a local store then delivery from Amazon was very fast (two days with Amazon Prime).

Don’t get me wrong , I have connectors that are 20 years old and still working but the item seas premium metal but as you can see in the photo , the set I received was 100 percent plastic. Kinda sucks but they are still cheaper than buying individually. Just passing along to help the next person.

Quality of Gardena has gone way down. I've used their hose connectors for many years so I know the product very well. There was a time when the plastic was super strong, I could grip it with a wrench and twist and twist without doing damage. I reused Gardena connectors over and over, they were simply the best around, lasting longer than other plastic brands. With this set something had changed. I screwed one on the hose and then decided to move it to another hose. However when I tried to untwist, the plastic disintegrated! This shouldn't happen with a Gardena connector! First use and it turns to mush? I've bought dozens of these, never seen their plastic do that. So I tried the 2nd one (the other light grey connector) and it did the same thing, plastic could not hold up to the robogrip which is the tool I've always used. I'm a older woman, my grip is not that strong. I no longer trust this brand, shame on you Gardena for cheapening the materials.
