About this item

  • USA GROWN Eastern Red Cedar
  • Premium Aromatic Cedar - Our fresh cedar shoe shaper is an adjustable shoe tree that absorbs moisture and dissipates odor to preserve the shape and integrity of your shoes.
  • RIGHT and LEFT Engravings - Always helpful when inserting shoe trees or a shoe stretcher, we strive to make our shoe accessories easy to use. These cedar shoe trees are made with a spring loaded shoe expander to hold the shoe form.
  • Designed in TEXAS - Better than a plastic shoe tree, our original shoe tree shape, designed in Texas, has a custom length hook heel. This feature of our split toe shoe tree is important to properly preserve the shape of the back of the shoe.
  • Great Gift - This wooden shoe tree pair can be used as shoe trees for sneakers, shoe trees for boots, or a typical cedar shoe tree. Also used as a long term mens shoe stretcher or men dress shoe stretcher in certain situations.
  • Sustainable - We donate 10% of profits of all shoe and boot trees sales toward planting trees. We call it our "Trees for Trees" program. So our cedar shoe trees for men size 10, and all the sizes, help replenish the earth.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Product has changed, the toe box/vamp area is thinner
Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2019
I originally decided on this shoe tree for it's automatic sideways expansion to fill out and support the shoe. Also the vamp toe/vamp area was thicker then the others I was comparing. I purchased two of these and they worked as expected and raise the toe/vamp area to look normal as opposed to being creased and sunken. Since then I've purchased more and have about 12 pairs, however that last couple of pairs I've noticed the toe/vamp is not supported to where it should be. I originally thought this was the type of shoe but then went back and compared the new ones with the originals I've bought. The newer ones have considerably less wood all around. 1/2" lower in the toe/vamp area and thinner /shorter all around. See picture comparing the original on the left, and new on the right. I have about 5 pair of the shrunken ones that were purchased past a certain date so I don't believe this is a manufacturing defect.

Since these shoe trees no longer perform the job they were purchased for, I'm giving them 1 star for taking a good product and making it unfit from it's original purpose. Honestly I would have rather paid a bit more than have then silently reduce the quality. I have switched to another brand which is better than this one ever was, for about the same price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought a second pair... here’s why
Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2019
I bought only one pair of these trees because they’re a bit pricey, IMHO. I tried them out for a bit and then bought a second pair for my new Oxfords as well. For my good shoes, I’ll only buy these from now on as they’re superior to all the other trees I’ve tried.

They come in a nice box, well packaged and giftable. They are cedar so they smell great! The size seems to be spot on, but since there’s a spring inside, it’s hard to mess that up.

The front of the tree is a split-toe design. By pressing the heel rod into the to cap, it forces the toes to expand, completely filling the shoe. When shining my shoes, this is the best fit I’ve found for my shoes. They’re heavy, though, so maybe you don’t want to travel with them (in carry-on luggage, at least, which is all I bring).

When inserting into the shoe, be sure to retract the heel rod completely, then move it up at a right(ish) angle so the toes don’t spread. Then, slide the toe in and rotate the wooden heel down into the shoe by pressing in on the spring until it fits in the shoe, thereby spreading the toe. Like I said, best shoe tree design I’ve found yet. No need to try others anymore, as far as I can tell.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality Control
Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2018
Purchased 3 pairs. One of the trees was assembled with an alignment peg that is too short, so the two sides of the expanding toe box don’t stay aligned. (See pics.) I have to realign the toe box halves every time and insert the tree into a shoe VERY CAREFULLY to keep them from coming apart. This pair should never have left the assembly facility!
