We bought two of these for our bikes. We were hesitant at first because of the reviews claiming they were hard to install, too shaky, too expensive. None of those were true. They were super easy to install. Just read the instructions. They are very sturdy and do not shake. Sure they were a bit more than the junk mirrors but you get what you pay for. Well worth the investment. We bike every day on trails and roads and both of us love them.

This review is based on the anti-glare left mirror.

Pros:
The mirror itself is very nice. It's a flat, wide mirror so you can see more. Once the entire thing is installed, it's quite sturdy and stays in place. The arm that attaches to the bike is a very strong material, and will more than likely hold up well against any hits or bruises. The arm itself is a fixed shape and is not bendable. However, the arm has an nice arcing shape, which I assume is made so your arm can fit nicely underneath it, which my arm does indeed do. I've been using this bike mirror for well over a week, in all weather, including rain and it has held up quite well.

Cons:
As others have stated, the arm is a bit short. I installed mine between the shifter and my brakes and it's still quite short. A part of your arm will show in the mirror, regardless of how you angle it. You can certainly circumvent this by either moving your arm or tilting your head whenever you need to see, but it is an inconvenience.

The initial install is quite tricky and the instructions on the back do not indicate this at all. First off, you do need a 5mm alum key to screw the bolts in place, which is not included. I mention the initial install is tricky because as others have stated, the clamp is not threaded very well at all, so it will seem like the bolt is not going through both ends of the clamp, and thus, it won't tighten. As someone else has stated, you need to screw in the bolt with just the threaded end of the clamp a couple times on both sides (using a little WD40 wouldn't hurt) in order to loosen up the threaded area. You'll know, you've succeeded when you can see the end of the bolt in the clamp.

Worth a mention, but the packaging, the box itself, doesn't have any bubble wrap or anything. It's just the parts itself inside of the box, so depending on how it's handled and shipped to you, it's possible there might be some damage along the way. My package was fine, but it's worth a mention.

Conclusion:
It's a nice, sturdy mirror that's certainly worth the purchase, but just be aware of its shortcomings, that mainly being the short arm.

I tried a couple of handlebar mirrors. My previous one was about half the price of this one but the clamp kept on failing until I eventually had to just take it off, also even when it was fitted it was difficult to adjust and get it in the rite position.

This mirror has a very good arm and handlebar clamp on it. I have my mirror underslung on my right hand side as having it upright would not be practical for my riding position. It is very easy to adjust as it has a ball joint on the end which gives you a wide and easy range to adjust it into the correct position. It's also quite solid, even going over heavy bumps and off road it does not wobble or move out of alignment.

The mirror itself has a wide view (convex) and it produces a very clear image, this also makes it easier to adjust as having it slightly misaligned will not matter as the mirror has a wider view anyway. The style of the mirror and arm looks good, it has a sleek look to it.

Over all its a good piece of kit, I recommend it, and it is definitely worth the higher price tag!

Da ich meine Lenkergriffe geändert habe, jetzt mit Hörnchen, musste ich mir einen neuen Spiegle kaufen und habe mich für diesen entschieden. Die Montage war unkompliziert. Hatte den Spiegel zuerst oberhalb meiner linken Hand montiert. In dieser Lage war das Blickfeld sehr eingeschränkt. Habe den Spiegel dann nach unten gedreht und habe jetzt absolutes Blickfeld hinter mir. Der Spiegel Sitz sehr fest und schwingt nicht, was ich mir bei einer Befestigung mit einem „Schwanenhals“ durchaus vorstellen könnte. Auch ist der Spiegel von seiner Größe völlig ausreichend. Unabhängig vom Spiegelmodell würde ich nicht mehr ohne Rückspiegel fahren wollen. Sicherheit geht vor. Würde ich wieder kaufen und empfehle den Spiegel weiter.

Der Spiegel ist von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Er ist leicht zu montieren, er zittert nicht während der Fahrt. Das einzige Manko ist für mich der etwas zu kurze Halter. Von der am Lenker ruhenden Hand aus betrachtet müssen die wichtigsten Bedienelemente am Fahrrad gut erreichbar sein. Das sind die Bremshebel rechts und links, die Schaltung rechts, und beim e-Bike zusätzlich die Leistungssteuerung links. Der Spiegel, den man ja während der Fahrt nicht mit der Hand bedienen muss, sollte also als drittes Element neben den genannten weiter zur Lenkermitte folgen. Das geht aber mit dem Hafny gar nicht. Der Halter ist dafür einfach zu kurz. Man muss ihn leider ganz außen montieren und dafür den Bremshebel und evtl die Leistungssteuerung weiter zur Mitte verschieben. Das könnte man besser machen. Daher einen Stern Abzug.

Einfach nur perfekt!

Ich hatte vorher eine Schwanhalshalterung links. Das war eine absolute Katastrophe. Bei jeder Unebenheit verstellte sich der Spiegel. Wollte man das Rad kurz zum aufräumen anschieben, kam man sofort an den Spiegel. Wie gesagt, während der Fahrt musste ich mehrmals den Spiegel einstellen.

ABER jetzt mit den neuen „Hanfy“ für links und rechts, einfach genial. Super leicht zu montieren (innerhalb 5 Min), einmal eingestellt und los ging’s zu Probefahrt. Alles wunderbar würde ich sofort wieder bestellen.

Absolute Kaufempfehlung !

Der Spiegel hat im Grunde alles, was man braucht:
- er ist einfach anzubringen
- ragt weit genug heraus, damit ich den Verkehr hinter mir voll im Blick habe
- aber nicht so weit, dass er wie ein Rentnerspiegel die Optik meines Bikes stört
- er passt mit der schwarzen Optik gut zu meinem mattschwarzen Fahrrad
- er ist nicht zu hoch
- er hält (auch bei Fahrt über Schotter, Feldwege oder Kopfsteinpflaster) perfekt so, wie er soll
- das Kugelgelenk des Spiegel lässt sich noch separat verstellen und hält auch bombenfest
- gute Größe, ich kann den gesamten rückwärtigen Verkehr sehen
- und günstig ist er auch noch

Aufgrund dieser Punkte kann ich diesen Spiegel nur empfehlen. Gutes Teil und sorgt für sichere Fahrt.
