Acheté pour abreuver nos poules et canards, car nos poules remplissaient leur bassin de sable; ce qui les empêchaient tous de boire l’eau que nous y avions mise. Avantage: cette fontaine est plus solide que celles en plastique et on peut ajouter un élément chauffant sous sa base. Seul inconvénient pour nous: nos (vilaines) poules montent sur la poignée, ce qui fait couler l’eau. Nous avons dû modifier un peu notre installation. Très bon produit.

Love the look - but hate the rust

So this has been used for 4 months, outside, undercover. It is now fully rusted on the inside, and the little stopper/latch peg that holds the top on, is so rusty that now water leaks all over. So Basically its now garbage. I am very sad. This one is more pricey than others, so i figured it would be fantastic..

This chicken waterer replaces a very similar one (without the fancy embossed hen) after about 7 years - had a rust hole. This waterer is very easy to fill and close - letting water pressure do it’s thing. It works perfectly on a warmer when cold. I’m not sure what reviewers don’t like - water pours out? Are you closing it properly? Don’t over think, give the chickens a drink!

Left town for five days. Still had a little water in it when we got home. Easy to clean. Sturdy. I do recommend placing it on something to lift it off the ground about 2 inches, water stays cleaner longer. Would buy again. This will last a long time in comparison to those plastic ones.

I purchased two about a year ago for two coops (12 and 21 chickens). They are easy fill and clean. To keep them free of debris, I placed them on top of 8 inch wood blocks. They are galvanized but it did not prevent one of them from rusting. They stayed thawed in temperatures above 25 degrees in our insulated coops. Good product.

I originally had the 5 gallon fount but it was really hard to pull it up due to the suction. This one is just perfect. It works very well. I keep this one in the coop. Now that it is winter, I have the metal heated bottom and this sits very nicely on top of that. No frozen water. It is pretty easy to carry 2 gallons of water in pail to refill in the below freezing weather too. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Despite missing the rubber stopper, which I believe is a rare happening from the manufacturer, the product is of high quality thick metal & sturdy enough to stand the test of time (& chickens). Yes, mine was missing a piece & this distributor was unable to supply it, HOWEVER, seller earns 5-stars due to speedy & very satisfactorily remedy of the problem. Customer service was professional & top notch. I was able to find a thick rubber gasket at a local feed store & cut it to fit. Not perfect but good enough to work. Because of the prompt & satisfactory remedy of my missing part, & the good quality of the product overall, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to buy from this seller in the future.

Vinegar is very helpful for chickens. Putting it in their water is good for them (lookup how much you need for your chickens).
DO NOT PUT vinegar in this waterer, it will cause it to rust very fast.

It's fine, In my opinion I think the hook on top should beore hook friendly. It slides back and forth because our hens tilt it back and forth and sometimes when I get home from work it's empty. Needed to put duck tape on both sides to prevent that.
