How to Adjust Your Headlights

Note:
Before you begin to adjust the light, make sure check the alignment of your lights first. Park the vehicle about 10 to 25 feet away from the wall with the lights aimed at the wall. The centerlines of the headlights should not be any higher than 3.5 feet above the ground.
1. Find the adjustment screws. Firstly, locate the adjustment screws on your vehicle.
2. Adjust the headlights individually. The headlights should be adjusted one at a time. Put a rag or towel over a chair in front of the light you want to block. Covering the light assembly directly can damage the plastic lens.
3. Adjust the vertical field. Turn the screw on the top of the light housing clockwise to raise the lights and counterclockwise to lower the light. The headlight should be adjusted until the top of the most intense part of the light beam shines directly on or just below the center of the tape line on the wall.
4. Adjust the horizontal field. The screw on the side of the light housing should be turned to get the right/left adjustment correct. Adjust the lens so that the most intense part of the beam is to the right of the vertical line.
5. Test your results.
Working headlights are a critical component of any vehicle

Problems and Solutions
- Have your car headlights been dimmed by abrasion from road debris?
- Factory headlights not bright enough?
- Have your car headlights become yellowed and discolored from the sun and elements, or not beautiful or fashion enough?
- Improperly functioning headlights make you afraid of driving at night?
- If your headlight assembly fails to provide satisfactory performance, you should consider changing it asap.

New VS Old
- A new pair of headlights from AUTOSAVER88 allows you to see further down the road during night and in any bad weather that may arise.
- Gives you and your family safer nighttime driving.
- Makes your car look newer.
- See road markings and traffic signs more clearly.

See farther. See wider. See better.
- Driving at night can be scary - and even scarier if you can't see the road clearly.
- A dim, cloudy, yellowed, damaged or non-functioning headlight makes driving dangerous, not only is your own safety, but the safety of others is at risk.

Update- Two and a half years later, still look good! Headlight lens is starting to yellow a bit, not fog like the factory ones. Just a yellow tinge.

It seems like these are hit or miss based on other reviews and my experience and you may get lucky and you may not. I did not. First off the aiming mechanism is terrible and basically non existent and you’ll most likely have to get creative (or lucky) to properly aim them. If you’re putting in LED bulbs you’re going to have to take the assembly apart to get the bulbs in and I’m not sure about halogen. The headlights for me did line up decently. Not great but well enough for me to work the pins into place. I got one side aimed well however the other side the headlight assembly is just not right and the entire assembly faces downward too much so no amount of adjustment will get the light where it should be and match the other side. I had to get creative and used about a 12 inch long piece of fuel line wedged on the bottom outside edge of the light between the light and the bezel (or the part of the grille that separates the headlights from the parking lights. Pushing up on the headlight and working that hose in there along the bottom managed to get the light where it needs to be and being a black hose with my black grille it blends in and is not noticed. It sounds fairly ghetto and I suppose it is but it looks fine and does the job. Great clear lenses highly increase the amount of light output which is great.
The lower parking lights just plain don’t perfectly line up like OEM. If you’re familiar with the 2000-06 Suburban, Tahoe & Silverado you know that these parking lights don’t have the greatest design for retention and have pretty weak “clips” but OEM work well enough and stay in place with no issue. These ones just don’t properly light up and can’t be fully secured. You may THINK they are but then one day you’ll notice the inner side of either one is popped out. It does push right back in but because they just don’t line up you never get that “click” that assures it’s not going anywhere. For that reason it’s just become habit that every time I walk by the front of the truck I look and if one is popped out I just push it back in and it stays for a while again.
I have not had any issues with water getting inside like a few reviews mentioned. Not yet at least and I will update this if that does happen.
So if you want something that looks great all the time, fits great and easy to install you probably want to spend a bit more money on a different set.
If you don’t mind having to get creative, making some mods, a bit of frustration and getting slightly ghetto to make it look great without spending much money then these may be for you.
I initially was going to return them and spend the money on some others but then decided they will both LOOK the same and I had already done all of the “creativity” so I said ah screw it I’ll just save the money and work a little more for cool looks.
The photos included are obviously before/after.

1. The clear lenses and the black backing looks great with my truck's black grille. It's amazing how much better the whole front end of the truck looks just from changing to these lights.
2. Although the housing is black, the lenses are clear - not smoked - so even though you're getting a way better look, you're not paying for it with dimmed lighting. That's the thing that sold me on these.
3. The price is nice, no doubt about it. At first I was surprised at how inexpensive it was for the entire set, until I received them. Then it all made sense, because they are kind of cheaply made.
CONs:
1. As others have mentioned, the backend of these housings are a bit flimsy. This is especially noticeable when you go to adjust them. I didn't find the different screw heads (for adjustment) to be a big issue, just the fact that they are so flimsy they don't leave you with a lot of confidence they're going to stay in place, especially when the truck bounces around such as travelling over rough terrain, snow plowing, etc. Time will tell.
(And, by the way, YES, you will definitely need to adjust them after installing, otherwise you run a huge risk of blinding others on the road. Don't be that guy. You're a grown man. Adjust your freaking headlights.)
2. One other thing mentioned by others - the seal around the lens doesn't appear to be watertight, so you will have issues if you install them as-is. So I bought a tube of 100% silicone, but black in color (search "ge silicone ii black" here on Amazon - or get it at your local hardware store). The black nicely blends with the black housing, plus it won't "yellow" over time like clear silicone. Anyway - I put a bead of silicone around them at the seam where the lens meets the housing, one section at a time, and then "flattened" the bead with my finger. I've had them installed for about a three weeks, during which time we've received probably 3-6 months worth of rain, and I haven't had any moisture issues. So sealing them with black silicone before you install them is definitely the way to go. (Black RTV would work too - but probably a bit overkill.)
3. For the headlamp housing, getting the light sockets into the receptacles was a bit challenging, because they don't necessarily line up the way the OEM ones do. The wiring harness won't cooperate with the way you have install and twist the sockets. I had to unplug the headlight socket from the harness, install the socket (and bulb) in the headlamp housing, then plug it back into the harness.
4. The Running Light housings (what this seller is calling the "bumper lights") gave me a little trouble on install. The passenger side housing installed with zero problems. The drivers side housing, for whatever reason, did not want to stay "clipped in". I *gently* sort of bent out the clip to give it a little more "bite" and "springiness", which seems to have worked. I've driven about 1000 miles with them, and they haven't fallen out yet! I have a few other tricks up my sleeve if they start falling out. Not a huge deal - but just more evidence that they are cheaply made with poor quality control.
BOTTOM LINE:
If you know your way around a garage, and understood at least 80% of what I was talking about above, go ahead and give these a try, taking care to pay attention to the potential problem areas I mentioned. The price is right!
I will attempt to update this review if I experience any unreasonable issues.

I deducted a star because a piece was broken on delivery. See picture. The part in circled in red. Its a cheap plastic holder. Instead of dealing with amazon or the seller with returning the order, i used jb weld to fix it. Did not want to deal with the headache and frustration of returning. Anyway, i think it was the foam mold that squeezed the part a little too tight to cause it to break.
The screws for adjusting the headlights can be easily reached but beware, if screwed too tight, the bolt may snap away from its holder. Again cheap plastic parts were used for some of the items

UPDATE 1/17/22: Top headlights are starting to get a slight yellow film to them. Clear coat seems to be peeling off on the top ones as well. Can only imagine what is going to happen to them once this texas summer comes in. Trucks just been sitting too.
