We've read many books trying to encourage children to be more environmentally friendly but I think this is one of the best we've read. The story is so much fun and shown as an adventure throughout the book which keeps the children interested and a spaceship and treasure is so fun for them to see. It's great to see environmental awareness included in the story and not just somewhere the story ends up!
The illustrations are fantastic and do a very good job of keeping the children excited with the story and clearly showing what is happening in the book and on planet Earth. The contrast between the beauty of the planet and earth makes it very easy for us to see why earth is being let down.
This is a fantastic book to encourage children to think about being more environmentally friendly and has some simple tips at the end which are achievable for children and something to aim for, a brilliant book.
Amelia and Noah find themselves being taken into space and viewing the earth from up above. An alien wants them to help save the earth, but they have to complete a mission to do so.
When I read this with my 7 year old, he was really interested to learn about extinct animals, what affect we have on the earth and also will the characters be able to complete their mission. He enjoyed listening to the story and wanting to find out what happened. The pictures are big and bold and really bring the story to life too, they drew him in from the start.
This book was a great way for me to talk to my little boy about important climate issues but in an age-appropriate manner.
At the core of this book is a fun story and that is what makes it an ideal age fir young children.
It's a fun and an engaging way to explain concepts of environmental protection to young children.
Kids can follow Amelia and Noah’s journey to environmental awareness and learn tips on how they can make a difference to help Planet Earth.
The pictures are colorful and appealing. Me and my child have already read the book dozens of times by now and always engaged by new nice details.
I believe this book is particularly targeted at the primary and elementary school age child (ages 3 to 8), but it is richly illustrated and entertaining for a reader of any age.
