What happened was this. My mood shifted. I felt better. A lot better.
The act of taking a deep breath. Putting my hand over my heart and saying I'm ok. I'm Safe. I'm loved. The sense questions to help bring me into the present. The act of giving myself a High Five.
Clearing my mind by writing everything down that was filling my head. (I was feeling overwhelmed at the time and the simple task of writing all down changed my breathing.)
Writing down 5 things that I want. And then simple things that I can do today to inch closer to those goals. And then closing my eyes and visualize me doing those things that day.
The combination of all of those things and a few more are magical for me.
Perhaps it is repurposed as someone else has stated. I wouldn't know. I've only read a couple of her books. But if it makes me feel better and more in control of my day it gets 5 stars from me. Own your morning, own your week.

This is the first time I’ve ever stuck with regular journaling, and I think it’s bc the prompts are excellent and easy to fill out. Thank you Mel!!
