I searched far and wide for a decent bike rack at a decent price, and this one might be the best value you could get.It's solid, strong, easy to mount onto, and the black powder coat is really nice.I gave it four stars for security, because I would've liked to see two more trunk straps on the sides for extra security. But, I've been using it for the past week, I've driven over bumpy roads and train tracks and it's remained tight and secure.I appreciate the addition of the middle strap so I can tie the tires together so they don't rotate, and the handlebars don't rotate either, potentially scratching the car. This negates the need for one of those adapter bars that lock the handlebars in place.Overall a very good purchase, highly recommended.

I searched far and wide for a decent bike rack at a decent price, and this one might be the best value you could get.
It's solid, strong, easy to mount onto, and the black powder coat is really nice.

After testing the rack for the first time, I was convinced to write a 5-Star review. It looked sturdy and easy to assemble. That was, before I noticed a design flaw that severely damaged my bike's frame.
The rack has 4 plastic pieces where the bike frame sits (two for each bike); these pieces are held by a screw, with an exposed end. For some reason, the pieces on the left arm have the screw ends that face inward, while the pieces on the right arm face outward (See 1st Picture). Guess what else faces outward? You guessed right, your bike's frame (See 2nd Picture). The first time I loaded a bike on the second position, the screw started rubbing against the bike's frame, scratching it severely (See 3rd Picture).
It is mind blowing how a company would allow a design like this. I ended up cutting about 0.5cm of the screw so it wouldn't stick out, but the damage was already done.
Extremely disappointed with this product! I would really recommend looking for an option that won't damage your bike.

1. It does fit a Skoda Octavia. You basically need to put the top straps in the rubber seal where the rear windscreen meets the roof. You dont have to open the boot to stick it in. See the photos.
2. It's quite fiddly. Having two people makes it a lot easier. Especially as the bottom two straps can only be fixed on if you open the boot and then close it.
3. Be careful on using the right securing belts on the right bit of the car. I unfortunately scratched my boot because I mixed up the side strap and the bottom strap.
4. You'll need a lighting bar as it covers up your rear number plate
5. It can only fit two bikes not three. The holder nearest the boot is too close to it and so you'll struggle to fit a 3rd bike on.
I drove it about 50 miles on the motorway in total ranging from 60-80mph and both our bikes were very secure and didn't really move.

The Bad - the bike recesses are really big, and as a result I can only get my bike frame on the end holder (the front of my frame is quite narrow). This means the whole assembly is very back heavy. Ideally I'd like the bike on the middle holder at least.
I didn't need the instructions, as I've had a similar unit in the past (this is better).
The single strap that holds the bike in place is a neat touch. I wrapped the strap through the spokes in the front wheel and back on itself to hold the bike in place. It works pretty well.
Reasonably happy.
