To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I purchased this book as a gift and while it won't matter to them this book does not appear to be new. Lots of scratches on the front cover and dents and dings all throughout the book. I double checked to make sure I purchased new instead of used before I posted this. Otherwise I have no complaints.
My 2 year old has this book memorized! As an infant, this was a favorite of hers! It has just enough words and just enough pages to hold the interest of a baby! So many of the classic books are just too long to keep them focused! This one is PERFECT! I now have 2 toddlers and every night they want to read "Owl"! I just saw there are others like this by Jonathan Litton and i will be purchasing them! *update* i have since purchased Zoom and Roar. Zoom had really good reviews, however, i still think Hoot is a better read! Highly highly recommend this book!
My son loves the My Little World books and they have been a great educational tool for his speech exercises; however this book was no match for my son’s aversion to numbers. Favorite book series or not, this little boy wasn’t having it! I of course enjoyed it though!
Such a great book! This has been one of my daughters favorites since she was about 10 months old. It is interactive for her with the holes for the eyes that she can put her fingers in and it is helping her learn her colors and numbers. The story itself is very nice and an adult will not mind reading it over and over...and over again. Great little gem to add to your child's storybook collection and a perfect length (for a younger child) as a bedtime story.
This is my son's favorite book (he is now 7-months) and I bought it when he was 5-months. He loves and it and hasn't tired of it yet! I read it to him at least twice a day. The rhymes are very simple and catchy and he just loves the pictures. The pages are not too over-stimulating like a lot of children's books that seem to have too much going on and cramed on each page.
Great easy board book with bright pictures and light rhyming sentences. Our 9 month old prefers the other books by this company with his favorite being the one titled Roar. While this isn’t his favorite we still include it in our nightly book reading routine :)
