I was expecting more of the "how to" part of this. Each drawing contains 6 windows progressively adding more lines until you end up with a final picture. For older kids or adults, it can help with starting points. However, this is geared towards younger kids. My daughter was really frustrated with it because to a kid the progression is not obvious. Often times the first window contains the top half of the drawings head. The seond one continues the bottom part of the head. She had a lot of trouble conceptualizing that the first window wasn't the whole head...as she normally will draw the head and then put the mouth on.
This book and others in the series would benefit by providing more direction, maybe a designation of a starting point of each line, and arrows to show where to go next.
