In this episode (S03E03) of "How to Product?", Arjav Jain, the host talks to Deepak Singh, Sr. Director of Product at Unacademy about what success looks like and how to choose a north star metric and then go on to talk about the importance of technology for PMs. The discussion starts at the process of defining a North Star Metric and what characteristics it should have. Deepak provides an example from MX player to put things in context. He then goes on to explain how to estimate the impact before launching a feature and he provides a good framework to follow. Deepak then talks about the importance of technology for PMs and provides a brief on his book - "Tech Simplified". In this episode (S03E01) of "How to Product?", Arjav Jain, the host speaks to Teressa Torres, Product Discovery Coach and the author of Continuous Discovery Habits. Teressa has coached numerous organizations across the world on how to get product discovery right. In this conversation, Teressa first explains what product discovery is and goes on to do that in a super simple manner. Arjav asks Teressa about how to maintain a balance between doing enough product discovery and also ship quickly and go to market quickly. Teressa then goes on to talk about what PMs are getting wrong about product discovery and what are some frameworks to ensure we're doing it correctly. She also talks about how to have a conversation with customers - she mentions how she has a story-based approach to talking to customers. Teressa shares a few questions that PMs could add to their arsenal while conducting user interviews. Teressa also talks about how to do customer interviews in a virtual world and she leaves us with some tips for folks trying to break into the product role.

In this episode (S02E05) of "How to Product?", Arjav Jain, the host speaks to Aatir Abdul Rauf, Director of Marketing and Product Management at VFairs. Aatir has spent a large part of his career leading both marketing and product teams at various organizations and he talks about how to become a better product manager by picking up lessons from a marketer's playbook - know what the customers want, why does the customer want what they want, why do we offer what we offer & how are better than everybody else. Aatir then beautifully lays out some great rules to follow to be better at stakeholder management - an important skill for a product manager. He then goes on to speak his mind about what he'd like to change about this role in practice from his observations over the years - some great insights here for product leaders to set the culture in their orgs. Aatir then talks about how he looks at his own professional growth over the years and what has been his core while moving up the ladder and building great products for the world. He leaves us with tips for folks looking to break into the role either as fresh graduates and for experienced professionals looking to pivot into product management. Anshumani has been an author in the past and he breaks down the structure of a good story. He speaks at length about the importance of writing for product managers and how PMs can become better writers.
