Drove from Canada to Florida with 2 ebikes on rack. Added an anti-bounce bracket between rack and RV hitch. Added straps just in case, secured on RV hitch. Absolutely no problems encountering the way. Good, solid RV certified ebike rack. At least I got this one in 2 days. Waited 6 months for Swagman rack and had to cancel order as they simply don't have any in North America. They say it's coming....don't believe them. This rack is just as good and is available (or was when I ordered) Highly recommended. Assembly instructions are easy to follow. Happy with my purchase.

This was one of only a handful of RV-approved bike racks that can handle the weight of our ebikes. It came with one locknut missing so I messaged the company and got an immediate response. The company sent a replacement locknut (3 of them) straight from Taiwan (not PRC!) in no time! Rack itself is sturdy and well-built. No regrets buying this rack, especially with a company that stands behind their product.

It's hard to find eBike racks out there that are strong enough and rated to safely hold two, heavy eBikes, but this one is a great rack. We've been hauling our two fatty eBike mountain bikes around and it does a great job. It's very solidly built, easy to use, fits into our trailer hitch, is easy/intuitive to use and comes with all the straps etc. to secure your valuable bikes. The arms are padded so they can be snugged firmly onto your bike w/o scratching it and together with the wheel straps and extra generic strap they provide your bikes are never going to rattle loose or fall off. It's designed with removable pins so you can fold it up while its on the hitch to reduce it's footprint, and to fold it down (when bikes are off) so you can get into the back tailgate. Perfect rack in all those regards. The only minor marks I can deduct is the locks. Good news is the rack has two sets: each bike arm is lockable to deter people from swiping the bikes off your rack and then there is another lock to deter someone from steeling the rack off your hitch. Given the cost of the rack and bikes, I do worry about both. The locks are locks... but if someone really wants to, and has time, they are not that beefy. It will stop a common thief / theft of opportunity but if someone really wants your stuff and has tools they won't stop a determined, equipped thief. Also, one of the arm locks is finicky and hard to lock when under the load of being snugged onto the bike. Again, so happy there are locks - just don't live in the illusion you are buying Fort Knox. Overall, great rack, very strong, practical and we're glad to own it.

Great RV e-bike rack -- with a couple of minor issues

As the Swagman model for RV's that can support heavy e-bikes behind travel trailers are sold out everywhere and won't be restocked anytime soon I decided to go with the only other e-bike capable, RV approved (for travel trailers) bike rack I could find. Actually was pleasantly surprised as I already own the standard Swagman RV approved model for regular bikes and really like it. However, this bike rack is a very good alternative and just has a couple of minor things that drop it a notch below the Swagmans. The rack definitely is sturdy enough to support our two 52 lbs. bikes and is easy to load and unload. The center support bracket drops down which makes it very easy to load the bike that goes on the inside of the rack. The bike rack is very well made and seems as durable as the Swagman. One thing I don't like are the flimsy velcro tire straps included; bought some heavier duty ones and will use those instead. Also, the center support bar moves around too much when locked into place and causes the bikes to sway a bit; as opposed to the Swagman models that are rock-steady. So, dropping a star mainly because my two complaints really are design/product flaws that should not have made it to a finished product. But all in all, I am satisfied with the purchase and feel like the bike rack adequately carries and supports the bikes.

I just assembled the rack. I bought it specifically for a hitch on my Airstream because it was advertised as RV approved. In fact, RV is in the name - Hyperax Volt RV. The brochure that comes with it has a warning section that says "1.6 Do not mount to any type of trailer or RV including class B vehicles." The warranty then says: "This warantly does not cover....3. Products are not used properly with Hyperax instructions or warnings." So they advertise as an RV hitch but tell you not to use it that way. In addition, unlike Kuat or Thule, there is no mechanism built into the hitch to tighten the hitch into the hitch mount. It simply slides in and then is connected with a pin and built in lock. I haven't had a chance to use this yet, but I now have no confidence that it will provide a stable hitch mount or a safe experience for my ebikes. And now I know that if anything goes wrong, the company will not stand behind its product. Very disappointing. Nothing like this was mentioned in the Amazon reviews or company description of product or Q&A or any other online reviews. I researched for a few weeks before I purchased. UPDATE: It actually works reasonably well, except I would advise checking the bolts periodically and retightening them. The hitch lock in particular likely needs checking every 500 miles or so.

Overal, A Mostly Well built carrier....But....

Since this rack is going on the back of a 5th Wheel Camper, sturdiness is paramount. There are a couple of things that you need to know before purchasing. First, the vertical part of the carrier, the part that has the sliding hooks on them is not as stable as it should be. When the piece is in position and the locking pin is inserted, the vertical part can move forward and back a little over an inch...maybe an inch and a quarter. To me, that is too much slop and simply should not be happening. For the time being, I fitted a thin piece of metal between the vertical piece and the rear of the "U" shaped bracket that contains it at the bottom, and that took out most of the slop. Long term, I may try a "body fit" bolt to replace the existing safety lock pin. Either way, a consumer should not have to re-engineer something like this....Second thing....the velcro straps that come with it for strapping down the tires are a joke. They look like something that should be included with some sort of toy. Strapping down the wheels of a 70 lb ebike needs to be substantial.....not something "toyish". I think with some modification on my part, the carrier will eventually work OK, but time will tell.
