The Inner Temple of Witchcraft Meditation CD Companion: Meditation CD Companion Audio CD – Unabridged, Nov. 8 2002
Purchase options and add-ons
The Inner Temple of Witchcraft CD Companion consists of guided meditations and exercises from the book The Inner Temple of Witchcraft, as led by author Christopher Penczak.
This 4-CD companion set allows you to experience the book's lessons on a deep and personal level. With soothing music and clear guidance to reinforce the techniques, these CDs help you create and maintain a spiritual, inner practice of witchcraft. Each track lists where the meditation can be found in the book, and each one also contains Exercise 9 (Counting Down to a Meditation State) to ease you into and out of your meditation. Exercises not listed on these CDs can be found in the book.
These companion recordings do not have the lesson material or background information to each meditation. For a full understanding of the magickal principles involved, please read The Inner Temple of Witchcraft. This set is meant to be a complement to the book's material and not a complete course in and of itself. They should be done sequentially, along with the year and a day study proposed in the book. However, experienced practitioners can adapt the material and recordings to suit their individual needs.
These recordings are used to enter an altered state of meditation. Please do not listen to this CD while operating heavy machinery or a motor vehicle.

The Inner Temple of Witchcraft is a thorough course of education, introspection, meditation, and the development of the magickal and psychic abilities that are the birthright of the witch. Four introductory chapters present the history, traditions, and principles of witchcraft, followed by thirteen lessons that start with basic meditation techniques and culminate in a self-initiation ceremony equivalent to the first-degree level of traditional coven-based witchcraft.

At first, it was rather annoying that you couldn't do just one exercise at a time, however, as you journey through the discs you begin to see why certain exercises were grouped together, and therefore, carried out together. It made the journey all the more magickal, I think. Especially considering some exercises are very short.
However, I had one big problem with the CDs, and that's why the set only gets 4 stars instead of 5. Rather than having each meditation with its own track, all the meditation exercises from a chapter are lumped together as one track. So, if you want to do the exercises singly instead of a chapter at a time, you have to hold down the skip button to get where you want to be on the CD. Needless to say, this is not exactly conducive to a deep meditative state. This can be overcome by some computer editing, but if you don't have the tools or the patience, then there's not much you can do.
That annoyance aside, I do recommend getting the CDs as well as the book if you're going to be working through the meditation exercises.
for about a month and a half.I found that in some of the meditations I had trouble trying to concentrate on how to perform it and trying to remember what the book said.So I was lucky to try out the great cd companion set.My first time listening to the collection was wonderful.Mr.penczak has a great voice for guiding you through meditations and the background music fits well with each purpose you take on.From candel meditation to psychic traveling it has been the best cd set I have ever listened to.It goes best with the book for the full understanding and background for each meditation, but I think would be great even on its own.Surely the best medative cd set I have ever used. Not only that but his book "THe inner temple of witchcraft" has been excelent also.I find his writing style to speak deep into my mind where it stays and its clear history of
witchcraft was nicely explaned.A great buy for anyone weather
you are new or have been practicing for a while.
Mr. Penczak's voice is perfect as far as I am concerned, it does not grate on you nor does it lull you into sleep. The light melodic fill is just that, filler for the spaces between words and does not distract from the words.
I found the material covered to be good for meditation and it works well with the material in the book. If you find the book to be what you are looking for, the CD's are a good addition.
I enjoyed the entire presentation, and Mr. Penczak gives us some very well based and solid material.
