OK overview of how to apply DT in an org, but no details on actual DT and very repetitive

If you’re looking for actual details on DT methods, this is not the book for you. It goes into zero details on any specific methods, e.g. double diamond. It does give a broad overview on how DT has been successfully applied at many name brand firms, and it draws general conclusions on how to approach injecting DT into your org. The downfall of this book is that it is ridiculously repetitive. It could have easily been condensed to half the length. I understand that you need to repeat points for emphasis, but the main points are randomly repeated everywhere and often. Additionally, what I found incredibly annoying was the terrible editing. There are dozens of examples of really poor editing - entire sentences duplicated verbatim (p188), people’s names spelled differently in different places (p170), apparently very important declarations about quantity vs quality that are completely reversed in different places (p182 and a few pages back), and incorrect grammar galore.

When I first heard about this publication coming from two very well respected individuals I knew it would be good. However I did not anticipate how pragmatic it was in nature. Between insights based on incredible research conducted in the various case studies to the formulaic nature of thier findings, this book should be in possession of every type of professional looking to change their current processes to be more agile and quick to adapt in order to stay relevant. Also, to any CEO willing to embrace design thinking principles to ensure maximum success.
